Habs now 1 pt back with 3 games to play Pens have 2 games left.

    Big game vs OTT tonight.
    Good Luck to everyone

Richie: [after Gus hits a homerun] Wow and he did it without steroids.
    Clark: What's steroids?
Richie: Something that makes your pee-pee smaller.
Clark: There must be steroids in macaroni!

2 points back bro as the Rangers blew their 1-0 3rd period lead to give them a point by winning in OT.. Also, I am betting the Sens tonight as they need this game bad. They could even end up not making the playoffs if they lose a couple more games...however the Habs finish up the season with two home games. Thursday vs the Sabres and Saturday night vs the Leafs so of we can go 2-1 over these next 3 we need the Pens to go 0-2 because they hold the tie-break which is wins with 46 as we only have 44...most likely going to be a 2nd seed which is fine really...

Also our Captain Saku Koivu has a broken bone in his foot that he suffered from taking a slap shot off his foot during Thursday nights game in Buffalo. Pretty bad blow for us as they are saying he could be out for the whole 2st round of the playoffs but Mike Komisarek was skating yesterday and his hip is improving so hopefully he will be back for our 1st round playoff series in a week. We have been one of the healthiest teams in the whole league all season and it sucks we are getting hit with injuries at the most inopportune time. We need to stay as healthy as possible because to win 4 best of 7 game physical series take everything and a total team effort. Hopefully Koivu and Komisarek will be back ASAP!!!

Yea we had a 7 point lead on the division for a guaranteed 2nd seed...Meaken is talking about 1st overall that we are fighting for with the Pens that has been flip flopping for the past week or so. We are still 6 points up on the Sens if thats what you are referring to. The Sens and Habs both have 3 games left each so the only way we dont win the division is if we lose all the next 3 games in regulation and dont get a point and the Sens win their next 3....not gonna happen...just need one point in 3 games for an "at worse" 2nd seed in the East regardless of what the Sens do!!!

Gotcha, so you get 2 points for a win in regulation? 1 for a win in OT? 0 points for a loss in regulation or OT?

You get the game into OT each team gets a point...

You lose in OT and/or shoootout you still get a point cause you got the game past regulation....

You lose in regulation you get nothing....

If you win a game either in regulation, OT, and/or shootout you get the 2 points....you win the game regardless you grab your maximum 2 points...

The extra point is then up to grabs for whoever wins the game....(whether its in the 5 minute 4 on 4 OT or the shootout does not matter)...the extra point is on the table for the taking to the winner once past regulation...

So with that being said if the Habs just get to OT and/or win 1 of these next 3 games even if Ottawa wins their next 3 games it is irrelevant for them as we win and clinch the division with one single point and get a guaranteed 2nd seed that includes home ice advantage (1-4 seeds in each conference get home ice...4-8 do not)....
