  • PACKERS/Bears

Why is it that everybody thinks the bears are going to put it to the Packers? Is it because of their new stadium. They still have the same terrible team, so a new stadium is not going to help them play any better. I don't think the packers are going lay down and let the bears just win because they have something new. The packers have a new stadium and they lost their opener. Just remember bears fans, that Brett Favre owns the bears.
Green Bay at Chicago has won 9 straight, covering at a 7-2 rate which includes their last 4 visits. At home and away the Packers have won and covered in the last 5. On Monday Night Green Bay has covered in their last 4 appearances and 7 of the last 8. I don't believe the game gets ugly, so my final score prediction is
    the Packers 24 Bears 16

    good luck to everyone tonight.

As long as Kordell is starting in the NFL, I'll be on the other team. He has no clue on what it takes to win in this league. Favre will show all the bashers that he still has what it takes to rank him at the top at his position. Playing the "one man team" vs. Kordell!

Ryan C. I am not looking at this game with my heart. Just look what Brett Favre has done to the bears and look at the 1st game of the season at Minnesota, the bears defensive line was horrible. If they play that way tonight, Ahman Green will rush for 150 yards, and if he does, that makes Brett Favre's job a lot easier.
Now don't get me wrong, the bears could look like world beaters tonight, but I just don't think so, not just because I am a Packers fan. If I have to bet against the Packers and the situation is right, I will.
Don't make any difference what NFL team it is, as long as you can get a winner. It's not whether you win or lose the game, it's if you cover the spread.

Richie: [after Gus hits a homerun] Wow and he did it without steroids.
          Clark: What's steroids?
Richie: Something that makes your pee-pee smaller.
Clark: There must be steroids in macaroni!

Hate to say it but PickemPete is right about GB owning the bears.

There are a few intangibles tonight. New Stadium with a Lot of bear alumni in town. But yes the bears still suck.

The Bear D isn't really that bad. I think they should be able to slow Farve and company down tonight. It's the Bear offense that is bad and can't stay on the field long enough for the D to get a breather. They have a patch work offensive line and one of the leagues WORST offensive coordinators in John Shoop. Unless Johnny boy has figured out some new way to use Kordell Stewart you can count on lots of third and longs for which his favorite play is the two yard pass. You can usually count on this at least a half dozen times a game which means as many punts because every D that plays the bears knows its coming after watching a little film.

I'm playing small with a Bears and the under tease so I can root for them. But if the Bears O can't keep the Bears D off the field I'm looking for the Pack second half.

I love the Bears and would like to see them win but have learned not to trust much money on John Shoop's pathetic offense and Mr. Excitement Dick Jauron.

Having said that, Go Bears. Kick some Fudge Packer ass.
