Sweet 16: Stanford vs Texas (Fri)

This should be the best game of the Sweet 16. I really want Texas due to the fact I have them going to the Final 4. Think whoever wins this game will make it to the final four. I'm going to go with Texas due to the fact they have better PG play and tend not to make mistakes. Brook Lopez is a monster though and will cause problems. Think this one will go down to the wire as these two are very even. Maybe playing in Houston will be the difference.MLB (2014): (3-4) -.9 units

My lean is to Texas. I have a concern, however, from Texas' first two tournament games. They let the 15 seed go on a 10-0 run near the end of the game. In the second game, they blew a 16-pt second-half lead over Miami to squeek by and get the win. Their not being able to put opponents away in the second half of tournament games is a little concerning for a Texas backer.

instead of the floater actually UCLA had a 10 point lead with 2 min left only for stan to go on a 9-0 run to make it 65-64 then collison hit 2 free throws to put the game away 67-64. my point is you can still make an argument that stan should have won that game, especially considering UCLA had to go on a 21-5 run to take that 10 point lead.

And, as you mentioned injuries on the Stanford side earlier in the year, UCLA won without Mbah a Moute and Love was hurting.
At the end of the day, excuses are like assholes, everyone’s got one. Bottom line…they beat them all three times and in laying 1.5 points, I believe there is value there in that basically Texas has to win, at home…just my opinion.

Originally posted by MR PainOK I corrected myself 3j. I know you are trying to make a point but what is the point of deleting all the good points I made just to make my post look stupid. My whole point was stanford could have easily won 2 of those games, that was the only point I was trying to make.

The point was that you said one game that was won on a last second shot should have been won by Stanford when, in fact, as you corrected yourself, they were down 10 with 2 mins left.
Like I said in a previous post, close games lost late, injuries, blown leads....they are all excuses...all that matters is the score on the scoreboard. WIN THE GAME! If Texas wins by 2 as a result of a bad ref call, or a twisted ankle, or the coach gets tossed again...I could care less, just get me to the winners window!
Again, BOL on your play!Three Jack's Record http://www.bettorschat.com/forums/sh...10#post1323910
