From experience...never call free pick numbers..it is the bait for getting your phone peppered with scammers.

Get a caller ID box..and when they come up as unavailable or unknown, or somwhere you dont know..dont answer!! Then you are for sure ok. It took me about a year to get them to stop calling.

So you called the free pick phone, you cant block them all, just let the phone ring, they never leave a message. Or get that caller # required service..that in order to ring through, you have to leave a phone number..they dont like doing that.

It stinks, but I will never call a free pick phone again..or call from a pay phone..

I think when you first listen to the recording you have to push a button in order to stop receiving the calls. At least I think that is what the recording said. I got a voice mail each time, and I think you have to do it when you answer the call.

They get your number then they sell it to every other scamdicappers out there and you are screwed. Atleast Jack Price was calling me this year and his recording said if you don't want this call anymore then hit the pound sign. That finally worked. Lucky Leo

STOP Calling Free pick phones!!

These guys offer everything free from picks to game schedules etc... They caller ID you amd pass the # around till they try and catch you in a weak moment. DON"T CALL FOR THEIR FREE LOCK OF THE YEAR or anything else and they won"t get your phone #>

Did any of you guys call Noarthcoasts number. Theirs is the only one I called with my cell phone one night just to test out my signal on a newer cell phone I was trying out since my current phone is having poor reception in my home. I only use a cell phone and NC is the only number I called with it as far as cappers free pick numbers, and J. Price is the only one to call me. The thought of Noarthcoast accosiating with that guy by what I read about him here really makes me wonder about the business ethics of Noarthcoast.

northcoast doesnt sell #'s....ive had Powersweep b4...and didnt renew...and HE's never called my house....Steele still sends my issues of PS and his college football mag saying I WANT YOU BACK....he'll send you mail but they will never call your house....

First , i have my own service and like reading the posts here and at the SSB site where i post msg.You have some smart guys here. You read some good things and bad things and have to decide for yourself whats worth reading.
Many,many,many years ago someone got me into gambling and i lost my shirt because i didnt know anything about gambling and it pissed me off, i hated to lose money to this bookies.I began to learn to cap by reading every book i could on the subject and put all the info together and came up with a plan,over the years i refined my capping and have come up with a few computer programs which makes me and my clients consistant winners. For two years me and about 6 other guys split the price of the gold sheet phone service and won money each year but after learning to win myself i stopped buying it.
I dealt a little with the las vegas sporting news and found many scams and reported them to the paper including cokin who even worked for them at one point, i caught him giving out both sides of a game a few times.
I have been interviewed by street and smiths business journal about capping and talked about scammers, and was called by them as a true professional handicapper.

And just to let you know most of the good cappers out there get the gold sheet, i even get the pubs and if you are really want to do this right you cant pass up on the info they give.
Lem banker once said he only uses the gold sheet power ratings.
And from a very, very good source, nfl coaches a few years ago got the gold sheet to see what they wrote about thier teams.I dont know about now but they once did, that should tell you something about them.

Learn how to cap yourself, my computer puts out my lines for me then i compare to the posted line and find out where the value is.
I post my lines every week at the SSB site and if anyone wants i can send them the lines and how to bet them or post here .

I guess after all that, what i am just trying to say is watch your back , do your own capping and read , read , read , there are some really great books on capping at the las vegas book store.

The worst part of Northcoast is that if you call for a comp. play, you have to listen to Phil go on and on and on with his sales pitch for 4-5 minutes before you get the pick.
As someone stated however he is honest and never calls you at home.

if you are going to call a free pick phone or score phone, call their local number and use *67 before your dial their number.

I respect all everyone has said about Northcoast. I remember a few years ago when I used the Gold Sheet's service. I called them and asked for the guy who signed me up the previous year. The person I spoke to told me that person I asked for didn't work their anymore. He got fired because he was downloading their client contact info and selling it to other scammers or services on his own. All it takes is one person in a company to pass your info on for an extra buck. I wouldn't be suprised if that happened hear with me calling the Northcoast number. Maybe they have one employee trying to get in with Jack Price for some reason. I just doesn't make sence with all you guys have said good about them. If anyone calls them personally please ask them if there is a chance of that happening. You never know. And if they are honest like the Gold Sheet was, they may investigate it or may already have fired someone. Possibly the same person.
