In view of recent domination of Yanks over Twins(swept season series) and since Yanks have much better talent, all I can say is Twins better win game 1 or at least put up fight or else their post season will end quickly.
Assuming Sox advance, I would love to take chances against Twins in round 2 rather than against NY for obvious reasons.
Question for Nut: What odds are you getting for Sox to win it all?
WWTS shows only 3-1.
I took your advice of "having to take chances once in a while" and took them at 9-1 early in season and more recently at 7-1 when they were still fighting for wildcard.
Lets hope this is the year. Go Sox!

Even though i'm taking the Cubs in Series 1 to pull one out i think that it will probably be Bos/Atl and i would have Boston in 6 or 7. It might be a heart wager but i really think the Sox get by Oakland w/out Mulder and the Yankees if they Win just don't scare me like years past...... i grabbed 4.25-1 odds. The Yanks are 2.5-1 to Win it all and i see NO value there!

Also a great move i think switching Lowe and Wakefield. If Boston can win this quickly w/out Pedro pitching twice it would be a HUGE advantage having him rested to start GM. 1 of the 2nd series.

I maybe one sided but look for this. The Twins will take out the Yankees. You can count on it. I think the old arms on the Yankees are just to tired and the twins are rolling right now.

Ok. They have owned them all year long and Mussina is a total Twin killer in his career 20-2 record with a ERA of 2.77.

Wayne-I agree with you with pitching rotation.
To change the subject, as much as we criticize Grady, what about collapse of the Astros at home over the weekend against lowly Brewers.
Perhaps, in retrospect we can honestly say that Little did much better with his team than did Jimy Williams with his.

savage i think this was grady's only good move all year. Personally i think him and jimy are 1 in the same but this year the Astros choked hard.... REAL HARD!

You might think i'm crazy but i thought Kevin Kennedy was great and watching him on the Best damn sports show on Fox it shows he really misses Boston still.


I've been bitching about grady all year and if it wasn't for an overload of talent this year he probably would have screwed up again. I think a different manager would have brought us a Division title this year too but grady stopped that from happening! :angryfire
