  • New Pool Scoring Idea

I got in a pool this year that using the following scoring system:

The number of the seed is the number of points you get for picking them.

For example if you pick NC and they win the first round they are the 1 seed - so you get 1 point. If you pick Kentucky to beat Marquette and they do - you get 11 points for them being the 11 seed.

Then in the 2nd round you multiply the seed by 2. third round you multiply the seed by 3 and so on to the multiple of 6 for the champion.

So picking a #1 seed to win the entire thing will get you 21 points.

First time I have been in a pool like this so I am pry just donating money - but seems like a lot of fun.

A pool I ran a few years ago was similar.

I did normal pts, but in the 1st 2 rounds I gave bonus points for picking upsets.

The bonus was the difference in the seeds.
    Good Luck to everyone

Richie: [after Gus hits a homerun] Wow and he did it without steroids.
    Clark: What's steroids?
Richie: Something that makes your pee-pee smaller.
Clark: There must be steroids in macaroni!
