Pick 'n' Roll: Saturday's best NBA bets
          ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

          Indiana at Orlando (-10.5, 221.5)

There was a time this season when the Orlando Magic did not own a home-court advantage. That has not been the case lately.

The Southeast Division-leading Magic look to win their fourth straight game and move closer to clinching an Eastern Conference playoff berth Saturday when they open a four-game homestand against the Indiana Pacers.

After starting the season 7-8 at home, the Magic have won 13 of their last 17 at Amway Arena. They've won seven of their last eight games in Orlando, averaging 112.7 points on 50.7 percent shooting in those victories. They?re also 11-5-1 against the spread in that span.

While Orlando has been red hot at home, the Pacers (25-40) have lost 17 of their last 21 on the road. Indiana lost 116-97 at Dallas on Friday, and has dropped four straight road games by an average of 14.0 points.

Against the Mavericks, the Pacers missed 12 of 13 shots early and were down 31-17 after the first quarter. Indiana finished shooting 38.2 percent from the field, missing 14-of-19 3-pointers.

"Open shots - we've got to knock them down and we didn't do it tonight," said point guard Travis Diener, who went 0-for-9.

          Pick: Orlando

Utah at New Jersey (+3.5, 204.5)

After the New Jersey Nets rebounded from a dismal Western Conference road trip by beating the reigning Eastern Conference champions, forward Richard Jefferson said he was glad to be playing against the NBA's weaker conference again. The Nets' reprieve, however, didn't last long.

The Nets hope to build on their first win this month on Saturday when they host the Northwest Division-leading Utah Jazz, who are looking for their eighth win in nine games.

New Jersey (27-38) beat Cleveland 104-99 on Wednesday night in their first game after an 0-5 road trip against the Southwest Division that extended New Jersey's losing streak to six games - all against West opponents.

Wednesday's victory was just the second in eight games for the Nets since the debut of point guard Devin Harris, who joined the team in a blockbuster trade that sent Jason Kidd to Dallas on Feb. 19. Despite consistently being listed as underdogs and receiving as many as 14 points in those games, the Nets were 2-5-1 over that span.

The Jazz have won seven of their last eight games to improve to 26-6 since Jan. 8. They have covered the spread in 21 of those games. However, they are only 4-6 ATS in their last 10 road games.

This will be the last game of Utah's current five game road swing which started in Chicago on March. 11. It's also their fourth game in five days. Utah is 9-10 ATS on zero days' rest.

          Pick: New Jersey

              Saturday's tournament games

              Conference USA Tournament
Memphis beat Tulsa twice this year, 56-41 on road (-13)- it was 28-24 at half, and 82-67 at home (-18)- it was 40-19 at half. Tulsa is 10-1 vs spread in last 11 games (9-2 SU); Memphis covered just two of last 12 as favorite. Not only is Tulsa playing for the fourth straight day, in other team's gym- they won the last two nights in overtime-- very tough task for gritty Hurricane.

Georgia is 2-6 in last eight games; they are 4-7 vs spread in last eleven games as conference underdog; Dawgs shot really well last night (54% from floor, 26-32 from line), but now play vs a Kentucky squad that beat Dawgs 63-58 in Athens (+2.5) and 61-55 at home (+-5.5). Wildcats are 12-4 in SEC, covering five of last seven games as a favorite.

Tennessee is in SEC semis for first time 1991, an incredible lack of success in this event- they were fortunate to win yesterday, giving Pearl his first SEC tourney win in three tries. Vols pulled away from Arkansas for 93-71 win at home Feb 13 (-8); it was a 43-38 lead at half. Arkansas is 4-5 in its last nine games, losing five of last six games away from home. Hokies are 5-1 since losing that game (6-0 vs spread) with only loss by point at Clemson- they held three of last four opponents under 35% from floor.

Duke covered two of its last nine games; they beat Clemson on Jan 19, 93-80 (-9) in Durham- both teams shot over 50% for the night, but Tigers had 20 turnovers, shot just 10-23 from charity stripe (Duke was 24-32). Duke is just 4-3 its last seven games. Clemson is 6-2 in last eight games overall, 2-2 vs spread as dog this season, but rarely have had success in ACC tourney.

Kings: After an all-hands on deck team meeting per head coach Reggie Theus, Sacramento has responded with back-to-back wins against the Lakers and Blazers. According to team insiders, the Kings love playing against tougher opponents. This has been the case as the Kings recently lost to the Timberwolves and Clippers before taking down the Lakers and Blazers. “We enjoy playing better teams,” said Ron Artest, who is fresh off a 22-point performance against the Blazers.

Kings are 10-4-1 ATS in their last 15 Saturday games.

Conference USA Title: Tulsa vs. #3 Memphis [CBS | 11:35 AM ET]

Tulsa: The Golden Hurricane is coming off a hard-fought 64-62 win in overtime on Friday night after blowing a double-digit lead in the second half. In fact, the team's last 2 games have gone to OT, which could be a big factor against a more athletic Memphis team.

Tulsa is 10-1 ATS in its last 11 games overall.
The OVER is 9-3 in Tulsa's last 12 road games.

Memphis (-16.5, O/U 132): The Tigers have won 41 straight conference games, and playing at home is a huge advantage for them. Southern Miss head coach Larry Eustachy even admitted that was a major difference after his team's loss on Friday. “Big difference in playing them in Hattiesburg than playing them here,” Eustachy said. “That’s just growth. You learn from that, and they’ll log it, and we’ll be better for it."

Memphis is 1-6 ATS in its last 7 games overall.

Hartford is 8-2 SU in its last 10 games overall.

ACC Semis: Virginia Tech vs. #1 North Carolina [ESPN2 | 1:30 PM ET]

Virginia Tech: The Hokies have covered the spread in 6 straight games, thanks in large part to a stingy defense that’s allowing just 52 points per game over that span. Virginia Tech will need to continue to play well defensively against a North Carolina team that beat them 92-53 earlier in the year while shooting 50 percent from the field.

Virginia Tech is 6-0 ATS in its last 6 games overall.

                          Key Injuries- NONE

North Carolina (-11, O/U 149): Like they do in a majority of their games, the Tar Heels have a big rebounding advantage over Virginia Tech. In their first meeting this season, North Carolina out-rebounded the Hokies, 49-21. In that game, Virginia Tech was only able to bring down 7 offensive rebounds as a team, just 1 more than Tar Heel Alex Stepheson, who had 6.

North Carolina is 19-7 ATS in its last 26 Saturday games.

Big Ten Semis: #19 Michigan State vs. #6 Wisconsin [ESPN | 1:40 PM ET]

Michigan State: Drew Neitzel scored a season-high 28 points in a 67-60 win over Ohio State on Friday, hitting 6 3-pointers. However, Neitzel had averaged just 7.5 points during his career in the Big Ten Tournament going into that game and will be hounded by Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year Michael Flowers, who held him to only 3 points in the last meeting between the teams.

Michigan State is 3-1 SU & ATS in its last 4 games overall.
The UNDER is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings.

Wisconsin (-3, O/U 117): The Badgers are coming off a win in the lowest-game in Big Ten Tournament on Friday, limiting Michigan to 10 baskets in a 51-34 victory. They were the top defensive team in the country during the regular season, limiting opponents to just 54.3 points per game. That has improved in Wisconsin's last 3 regular-season games, as opponents are averaging just 45 ppg.

Wisconsin is 6-0 ATS in its last 6 games overall.

Oklahoma: The Sooners turned in 2 of their worst shooting performances of the season against Kansas earlier this year. While Oklahoma limited the Jayhawks to 37.9 percent shooting in those games, the Sooners were much worst at 29.9 percent.

Oklahoma is 7-17 ATS in its last 24 games vs. Big 12.

Texas (-5, O/U 125.5): The Longhorns have won the last 5 meetings with Oklahoma - all by double digits. They have never beaten the Sooners 6 straight times and will be trying to advance to their third straight Big 12 Tournament title game, where they have lost to Kansas each of the last 2 years.

Texas is 7-3-1 ATS in its last 11 games overall.
Texas is 5-0 ATS in the last 5 meetings.

ACC Semis: Clemson vs. #7 Duke [ESPN2 | 3:30 PM ET]

Clemson: Duke is historically a good free-throw shooting team, and the Blue Devils will have a huge advantage in that area against Clemson. The Tigers are the worst free-throw shooting team in the ACC, converting just 58.6 percent of the time from the foul line in conference play. One bright spot for Clemson backers is that in their blowout win over Boston College on Friday, the Tigers shot a solid 71.4 percent from the free-throw line.

The UNDER is 8-3-1 in Clemson's last 12 games overall.
The OVER is 8-3-1 in Clemson's last 12 Saturday games.

                          Key Injuries- NONE

PROJECTED SCORE: 72 (UNDER - Total Play of the Day)

Duke: If the Tigers are going to upset Duke, they’ll need to play strong defense and not give the Blue Devil shooters open looks at the basket. Duke has failed to shoot 40 percent from the floor 5 times this season, and 2 of those games (Pittsburgh and North Carolina) have ended in losses. In fact, 3 of the Blue Devils' 5 worst shooting games have come in their last 9 outings.

Duke is 3-6-1 ATS in its last 10 games overall.

Texas A&M: The Aggies will meet Kansas for the second time in 8 days after losing to the Jayhawks 72-55 at home last Saturday. They will need to do a much better job in the paint, where they were outscored by a 44-12 margin. “We’re looking forward to it,” Texas A&M head coach Mark Turgeon. “Our guys will have to step up and try to hang around.”

We needed to be behind in the first half,” Self said. “You don’t ever like it when your team doesn’t perform. But how many teams have done well in the NCAA tournament that haven’t been behind?”

Big East Title: Pittsburgh vs. #9 Georgetown [ESPN | 9 PM ET]

Pitt: The Panthers continue to thrive in New York City, improving to 5-0 at Madison Square Garden this season with a 68-61 win over Marquette in Friday's Big East Tournament semifinals. They are 19-6 in tourney play over the last 7+ years and will be playing in the title game for the seventh time in 8 years. However, Pitt has won the championship just once during that stretch, back in 2003.

Pitt is 4-11 ATS in its last 15 Saturday games.

Georgetown (-4, O/U 125): The Hoyas will be trying for back-to-back Big East tourney titles for the first time since Patrick Ewing led them to the 1984-85 championships. This time, his son Patrick Jr. is helping lead the way along with another dominant center in Roy Hibbert, who had season highs of 25 points and 13 rebounds in a 72-55 rout of West Virginia in Friday's semifinals. Insiders believe the 7-foot-2 Hibbert will once again be a huge mismatch here in Georgetown's favor.

Georgetown is 14-0 SU all-time as the Big East Tournament's top seed.
