Chado's Picks for Thursday!!! Almost GOY!!!
Sup fellas? Hope everyone is enjoying these CBB games all day. I know I am!!! Anyway, went 2-0 on the ice on Sunday and 1-0-1 last night. There is one play for this evening that I absoletely love and has been on my radar for quite some time now. The game involves two of the best defensive teams from each conference and they only play each other once per year. If I didnt already have my GOY that won on NJ/MTL under earlier in the year this one would be it. I like these selections for this evening:
54/64 Boston Bruins (-170) / Colorado Avalanche (-220) (+131) OT included ML Parlay
58 Montreal Canadiens (-135) OT included ML
61/62 New Jersey Devils / Minnesota Wild UNDER 5.0 (-120) OT included
Two of the teams BEST defensive teams in the NHL meet tonight in Minnesota for what will be a very low scoring game IMO. Martin Brodeur will be in net once again tonight for the Devils and you can bet he will bounce back from his 4 GAA performance against my Habs on Tuesday. In 4 career starts vs the Wild he is 4-1-2 with just a 2.35 GAA and a save percentage of almost 92%. Minny's stellar goalie Niklas Backstrom will get the start tonight for the Wild and although he has never faced the Devils in his career he is a great netminder in general holding a 26-13-6 record this year with a GAA of only 2.46 and a save percentage of 91.5%. He also plays great at home going 15-7-4 this season with an even better GAA of 2.16 and a save percentage of 92%. The New Jersey Devils are #1 overall in goals against allowed in the Eastern Conference this season only conceding 163 goals in 70 games for an average of a little over just 2 goals per game. Look for a defensive battle tonight with a lot of neutral zone play and a 3-0, 2-1 type final!!! I am hoping that either Niklas Backstrom or Martin Broduer can earn a shutout tonight!!!
