yes. i've always maintained college hoops, especially small conferences, have some shady shit going on. not all the time or every game, but it certainly must happen. just think of some of the teams you can bet on.
i just don't think every time something like tonight happens means its fixed.
If anyone should cry fix it's me, but I've been around long enough to know it wasn't fixed. These are just kids playing, with so much to lose if they tried to change the outcome.
3ebRocks. I thought Stanford did make their last shot with 3 seconds left. Then UCLA throws the full court and the uncontested layup. I can't remember losing in OT getting 8.5 points. It's not what I lost, it's what I didn't win. Have you ever won money on a game and felt lousy.

I don't think it was fixed, just rediculous that K Love threw a pass 3 quarters of a court and then Collison layed it in...There was literally 2 seconds left, why throw the touchdown pass when you're leading by 8

Thats how they roll....did the same thing v WSU up 5 to cover a 5' spread v them.....Wazzu basically quit on the game with less than 3 ticks left and UCLA baseballed it up court and jammed to win by 7 and I remember nobody said a word......Ill even pull Bryces thread when I mentioned it
Laying it in with nobody gaurding you is human nature...It's the baseball pass up 8 w 2 seconds left I'm having trouble with. I didn't even bet the game, just knew the number and figured a lot of money was won/lost on that play
dude, stop...where do I begin? The guy steps in from 3 to take a 2, for what reason? Why would UCLA even throw a long pass?Even so, why would the guy go in for a layup?* C'mon, if u honestly think some of these games aren't riding on who has how much money on what team, u r dumb, sorry...anything that involves this much money (sports gambling), there is bound to be some shadiness here and there.PS Not to mention the fact that foul called to send the game to OT was AWFUL
Dude, you are showing your ignorance completely and calling me dumb doesnt change that.First of all, I focused my arguement on this game specifically.* I was not and am not speaking to any other college game that has been played or will be played.* But to say the UCLA/Stanford game was fixed, probably because you lost and cant take it, is idiotic.* Because if it was, the people doing the fixing are the luckiest bastards on the face of the earth.*
Horrible foul call, I grant you, at the end of the game.* Just horrible.
1.* But, UCLA still had to make two enormously clutch free throws to even get it to OT.*
2.* Then as I stated earlier, they got over the 8-8.5 with two TENTHS of a second left in the game.* Doesnt leave much room for error with your fixing theory does it.* Had they been two seconds slower a lot of wiseguys would have lost a bundle.
3.* They actually got to 10 a few seconds earlier, but Stanford hit a bucket to make it 8 again.* Since both teams and the refs needed UCLA to win by 10, why would the Stanford man even take the chance of hitting that meaningless bucket with 2 seconds left?* Did he not get the memo?* They had their 10 with a couple seconds left.* Why would they let it get to 8 just to have to get it back up to 10 again with no time on the clock.
You lost.* Suck it up and move on and dont call other people dumb because they disagree with your opinion.
I didnt see the ending...went to bed thinking UCLA was a loss, woke up feeling great that my ucla/over parlay hit...and no I dont believe it was fixed either way but rather a great backdoor cover for me and LUCKy as HELL...i can think of numerous times Ive lost at the buzzer and never felt it was fixed it just happens....My worst beat ever few years back Okafor's Uconn team comes from way back to get up 4 on Duke i had Uconn -2 and fucking DUHON chunks up a fucking halfcourt shot that banks in to give DUKE +2 the God Damn cover....BITTER WHO ME NO IM NOT BITTER...FUCK DUKE AND DUHON...
i didnt even see game but dont have to i just dont get how someone can say this is fixed....sure it happens in games where some shady players/refs might influence game but the line was 8.5 and went to o.t.....so on both teams it was fixed where nobody wins in regulation so ucla can cover that many in o.t it was pre determined or somethin at buzzer??? teams knew when to miss and what to shoot in o.t when got around number so ucla would be able to cover in last sec cmon
edification will take place pull up the reins and get outta the race.
UCLA was losing the whole game, giving 8-8.5 points. They finally tied it up only to have Stanford make a layup to go up 63-61 with about 5 seconds left. UCLA inbounded the ball and Collison drove, got his shot blocked. Cleanly. Ref called a foul with a second left. Collison made the free throws to send it into OT. UCLA dominated OT. Got up 10 with about 10 seconds left. Stanford hit a bucket and closed it to 8 with about 2 seconds left. UCLA inbounded the length of the court and hit a layup just before the final buzzer. Cheesy move by UCLA totally, but I cant fathom how anyone could think that game was fixed with what had to happen to have the result end the way it did. Three buckets in the final 10 seconds, with one literally being at the buzzer. Two clutch free throws just to send it into OT. It was a crazy game to say the least.

I watched the game and I did have UCLA but I am being objective when I saw with my own eyes that he got slapped on the arm/wrist during the shot.......sure late in games they eat the whistle for bigger things but to say it was clean IMO is a little wrong
