It makes no sense trading up and using a top pick when you have a potential star waiting. Rogers might not be a star. However, we've seen far too many QBs drafted very high only to turn into a bust. There's no guarantee that Ryan will be a star NFL QB. There's no sense using another draft pick on a QB.

Are you kidding me? Everybody sitting in the stands at Lambeau will be doing it. Following this legend in G.B. will be nearly impossible. It is like following Elway in Denver. Good Luck with that pressure!

I agree. Following Favre will be a tough task. However, this reminds me of Young following Montana. He's had a few years to watch and learn. Also, he's taking over a team that has lots of young talent. This past season they were the youngest team based on average age. He's also taking over a team that was one game and one INT from the Super Bowl.

That's my exact point. There's no guarantees drafting a QB very high. Recent history has proven this point.

I tend to agree with that.....although Young had more experience then Rogers has at the time.

No need to panic and draft a QB.

Agreed! Young had much more playing experience than Rodgers. He was 31 when he took over the Niners.
