Spring Training Day 3

Very Solid 1st two days going 4-3 for +4.2 units. The bigger plays have been solid thus far. Not going to change a thing as I feel the smaller plays will come in eventually. Lot of games today so lets get started.


A new rule for teams in this preseason posted by MLB is that every team MUST bring at least 4 Regular Starters with them to suit up and play in every game. If they do not do this the team faces fines by MLB.

The Mets got away with it yesterday stating they are hurting from several injuries which leaves them thin for spring training right now.

Also, Mariano Rivera will not pitch for the Yankees until at least Wednesday. He does not make any road trips with the team in spring training. Job Chamberlain, Ian Kennedy, and Phil Hughes are all scheduled to pitch today against USF for the Yanks. They will all likely be unavailable for this weekends games. Look for more minor leaguers to throw this weekend for the Yankees.

Red Sox

In the first Grapefruit League contest, the Red Sox will bring a very representative lineup.

Kevin Youkilis, Pedroia, Julio Lugo, Mike Lowell, Manny Ramirez, Coco Crisp and Bobby Kielty will all be in the lineup. Jason Varitek, Jacoby Ellsbury and J.D. Drew will stay back at City of Palms Park and work out.
Daisuke Matsuzaka is the pitcher for Red Sox.

Thanks Chad. Even though they almost found a way to blow that game. It was mostly a play against the weak goltender for LA. Did not know that the Edmonton goalie was going to give up so many goals either lol. Either way a nice win to almost get back to +money for the year in hockey. Only 17 games left on avg for each team.
