After being flattened by Baylor ( Thank you Baylor ) the scales now tip toward K State to win. The line is -3. But because K State plays to the tune of a 10 point difference at home and a 6 point difference with conference teams in the first half, my money rides on the first half.
Texas on Away games avgs a 3 point difference and a 1 1/2 pont avg in conference play.
This suggests that K State at home is a decent bet over Texas in the first half. I could go deeper but I hope these stats support the play.
I also don't like 3 points as a game spread in these rivalry conference games.

    K State -1 1/2 First Half

Like this as well Spear--Kstate has proven to finish games at home---on the road has been a different story- I think both sides win. As far as this line movement I hate to see such an early move on this. I think this will come back down and tip off at 3.

Thanks for all the well wishes gents!! Hope to be smiling large around 10:45!!!

These games have been tightly contested.
Kansas State beat Kansas at home in January 84-75 but has since gone 3-4 in Big 12 play. However, the losses all came on the Conference road while here at home it is 6-0.

Texas is cruising along at 23-4 and 10-2 in the Big 12 but its two losses (to Missouri and Oklahoma) came on the Conference road. Last two in this series have been decided by one point with the road sides winning and Kansas State getting the money.
There was a 73-72 win by the Wildcats in Austin last year and a 65-64 win by the eight-point choice Longhorns here in 2006.

Spear, Texas lost to Missouri and to A&M, both on the road. They won in Norman by about 8 or 10, then crushed the Sooners in Austin this past Saturday.

Bryce- I felt shorted on a no-call goalteanding by Texas @ the 8 minute mark to lose my first half play-afyer that no call the ref started calling them, It was the difference.
K State needs to play to get this one in for ya!

Yeah I took the first half with you---KStates inability to shoot the rock and shoot 34 percent in the first half has me in a bad spot right now--down 6 this will be tough to get in. I underestimated Texas's defense in this one-- there is time--Kstate shot like crap 2nite IMO---

Well took a beating tonight--Congrats to the Tex backers--KState had their shot--and came up empty- 50-50 at the 10 minute mark outscored 24-15 in the last 10 minutes and quite frankly should of been outscored more---TX missed a bunch of free throws. I will rebound and have a GOY next year---I really only play one a year with the amount of cash I just lost!!

Thanks to all the well wishers I appreciate it!! See you guys tomorrow!
