Split the two POD totals last night for no gain nor loss. I love this selection on the ice for tonight:
59 Dallas Stars (-125) POD - OT inlcuded ML
The Dallas Stars are one the two hottest teams in the entire NHL right now (along with the Buffalo Sabres who have not lost in regulation in their last 10 games) as they have won 7 in a row and have only allowed 10 goals against combined over this stretch!!! Tonight they travel to Phoenix, Arizona for a rematch of Monday nights contest in which they won 2-1. Even though the margin of victory was only one goal the Stars outshot the Coyotes 44-20 more than a 2 to 1 ratio. Ilya Byrzgalov was the one who kept Phoenix in that game but the Coyotes simply could not score. This could be mainly due to the fact that they are suffering some key injuries at the moment. Their team leader in points in right winger Shane Doan (18 goals and 36 assists) is out due to a groin injury. Tonight the Coyotes will also be without centerman Martin Hanzel as he is still out with an injured shoulder. Defenceman Derek Morris is coming off an illness and forwards Radim Vrbata (ankle) and Peter Mueller (foot) are playing hurt. This does not hold well for a struggling Phoenix team who has dropped 4 games in a row and 6 of their last 7 overall facing a red hot and healthy Stars team. Marty Turco gets the call again in goal tonight for Dallas and he holds a 14-7-1 record against the Coyotes in his career picking up 3 shootouts along the way. Ilya Bryzgalov on the other hand has only beaten the Stars once in 6 career starts. Dallas is 17-11-3 on the road this season while the Coyotes are just 11-13-2 at home. The Stars have won 6 of the last 7 games in Phoenix and have beaten them 10 of the last 13 times overall!!!
AS ALWAYS, GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!!!
