Just passing this info along. I've done this with friends the past few years, and have had a blast. Makes Ncaa tourney even better. First, you have to get a bunch of people to jack up the pot. Everyone bids on each of the 64 teams. Look this over. Wondering if any of you have done this before. The only aspect I don't like about this is teams don't get paid for making elite 8.
Payout Schedule
Biggest upset 5% of total pot (Based on seeding)
Team that gets beat by the most amount. 5% of total pot. This gets people to buy the 14-16 seeds.
5-16 Seeds that get to sweet 16 (32% of total pot-divided amongst amount of 5-16 that make it)
Final 4 = 8% of pot for each team that makes final 4 (32% of total pot)
Final 2= 8% of pot for 2 teams that make it (16% of total pot)
Champ= 10%
1-4 seeds doesn't get paid unless they make final 4.
Rules
1) Bidding is conducted on a Free Market basis. There is neither a pot limit, nor a limit on the bidding for any one team
2) Payments are due at the end of the auction. NO Pay NO Play.
3) Minimum bid is $5 and the bid increment is $5.
4) Teams will be up for bids by their seeding ( starting with 16 seeds).
5) There is no limit on the amount of teams any one person owns
6) Groups or committees may be formed to buy teams together
