I start this thread with giving Bnut a ton of praise for his "against the grain " selection last night [Marlins] .

    Now to the point ,

I know its called taken it in the shorts by most males , and its a way of saying that I lost this day and age . Well then I must have had it take my shorts factory last night as I reached out and tried to hit them hard and instead got the favor returned . I can take it when I know I was on the wrong side but last nights ruinous collapse [ debacle ] leaves me with a sour taste in my jaw-bone and a horrible gut-ache like I have been poisioned .

    Lucky :

My research has revealed that lucky people generate thier own good fortune via four basic principles . 1st. - They are skilled at creating & noticing chance opprotunities. 2nd. - Make good decisions by listening to thier intuition. 3rd. - Create self-fulfilling prophecies via positive expectations . 4th. - And adopt a resilient attitude that transforms bad luck into good.

Last night it is with deep regret that I had none of the above and furthermore it " sucks " !

Ater a horrible night , there has to be a little sunshine and I am tanning as we speak . So buckle up buckeroos and get ready for a onslaught of massive proportions cause " Stellas got her groove back " [ see # 4 ]

On a serious note I went down the chute for about 9 units last night and intend on getting it back , 1 day at a time , no more jack the giant killers coming out of my mouth for a few days [ crawl , walk , run ] principle applied starting today !

After I get done licking my wounds , I will return with my half !

Memphis-Do you remember the old Twilight Zone episode(in late 50's or early 60's) where this old gambler who led a sleazy and bad life died and found himself in the middle of a casino?
If you recall, no matter what he did, Roulette, Craps, Slot Machines, he won everything and never lost.
In addition he was surrounded by an unlimited number of gorgeous babes.
The man became perplexed and actually sick of never losing, and near the end of the show he asked his spirit guide, who was standing next to him, that he was confused because he didn't lead the kind of life to put him in "Heaven" and that he felt he belonged in "The Other Place."
The spirit guide (the devil) then calmly stated that he was in "The Other Place."
I know that this is not a perfect analogy but perhaps it will take a at least a little of sting out of last night's lest than stellar perfromance.

I do indeed remember that particular show and I can honestly say that I bear no harm against Joe Torre for allowing 9 hits and 8 runs and 6 doubles and 1 home-run , and etc. etc. etc. before pulling a pitcher [ ok a little ] in one inning. I think they went around the horn 2 times ?

Nor will I not forget my spanking any time soon , I as I am sure most of us are , not real fond of getting my butt-whipped.

I get your drift though and I was put in my place for trying to get greedy [ but its worked before ] and I just have to choose a better time to use it in the future.

Memphis-if it makes you feel any better, the stocks that I mentioned- imnr and astm have been hit by profit taking, and while I am still ahead pretty good, it is not as much;maybe I was greedy also and should have sold;asi is la vida.
Then again, I don't like to trade too much if I believe in the stories of stocks, which I do in this case.
The story in Twilight Zone does make a subtle point, but obviously, at least here on good old earth, there ain't nothing like consistent winning(I wonder how it would feel to win 365 days in a row;maybe the Twilight Zone would then apply and I might want to lose at least one day to see what it is like).
