College teams CAN'T SCORE anymore. All the good scorers are in the NBA. Wash State and UCLA are two well-coached teams but play a style of basketball that is excruciating for me to watch.

Defense wins championships...if you can defend you dont need to score at will and your defense will generate the offense....thats why the Spurs, Pistons, and Celtics are the only teams in the NBA that actually have a chance at winning in the playoffs in this league because the other teams dont play defense....they can only outscore their opponent for so long....

Both of these teams play excellent defense, hence the success they've had...college places a lot of emphasis on D. And why would anyone want to watch a game that you are saying will be boring?

Totally agree....thats why the NBA is so hated on....even though a Suns/Warriors game may be more exciting to watch I personally appreciate the quality of defense in sports and would much rather prefer to watch a defensive battle in any league but thats just my opinion....

I agree that sometimes the NBA lets up on defense, but you have to realize some of these players are so good there is no defense for it.

Dfense does win championships. I'm just saying offense is a lot more fun to watch.

best basketball of the last couple of years was last year's Dallas/Golden State series

enough of this garbage about the nba and teams playing defense and thats the only way to win. in the 80's, teams scored in the 100's and still won all the time.

the bottom line is that more than half of the nba settles for what i like to call the 'prevent offense', literally dribbling 30 ft from the basket for 20 seconds, then taking a 20 ft jump shot. these teams don't even try to score, and it is fuking brutal to watch.

offense minded teams can win, just look at gs beating dallas last year (they just ran out of gas/letdown in the next round). phoenix woulda beat SA last year if it wasn't for the officiating/suspensions.

there is absolutely nothing redeeming about watching these nba teams that you all claim to play great Defense.

it is simply a misconception to warrant everyone's hatred of the nba.
