Just got back from the Super Bowl. My take-

Of course there is a buzz in the stadium before the Super Bowl, but the Pats fans were dead. While their home games can be pretty quiet, my experience has been their crowds that travel to the Super Bowls are pretty rowdy. Not this time. I don't know if it was over confidence, pressure, or what, but it just wasn't the same. (When they were introduced before 36, the place went INSANE).

FEAR! I wasn't at the game. IMO fear played a huge role.

Okay.... I only found a couple of articles talking of the, "rumors", that the Giants had been intercepting the other teams headsets, during the 2000-2001 playoffs.... I knew about it before the super bowl, it was talked about, then they got waxed by the Ravens, and nothing else was ever said....

I guess that's why the Giants crushed Vikings shutting them out 41-0. The Giants in 2001, like the Patriots, took a beating because they were physically beat by the opposing team.

I've been a huge Giants fan for almost 40 years. I never heard these 'rumors'.

It's like they threw the game as a trade-off to get out of this latest talk of trouble and cheating...... All this should get swept under the rug, just like last time it happened.......................................THE NEW YORK GIANTS got caught intercepting the headset communications from the other teams, caught the week before the Super Bowl... The Giants promptly came right out and took an asswhipping, so no questions were ever asked again..Never heard another fucking thing about it...... The NFL "handled it".... Their way......................... I think they "handled it" again.....

I get it. You're a Celtics fan which means you're probably a Pats fans. This post smells like sour grapes. Not sure what the 2001 SB has to do with Sunday's Superbowl.

MOLTA,IT WAS ROUGH,I AM A BIG PATS FAN ALSO,really hurt my billfold,but hey brother,hats off to the giants on both sides of the ball-what an effort,there defense-WOW,eli-WOW,receivers-WOW,whole team-WOW,EVEN THOUGH I LOST MONEY,BEST SUPER BOWL I HAVE EVER WATCHED !!
