Should have went 2-1 last night but the Avs blew a 3-2 lead with only 3 minutes left in the game to then lose in OT so that sucked big time. Anyway, I absolutely love tonights card. I was amazed when I capped all the games at how many stuck out and have narrowed things down to 5 picks. There are 12 games in the NHL for this evening and I like these selections:
ALL PICKS ARE FOR 3 UNITS EACH
:
6/24 New York Rangers (-210) / Calgary Flames (-165) (+138) OT included ML Parlay
7 Philadelphia Flyers (-140) OT included ML
10 Boston Bruins (-120) OT included ML
13/14 Florida Panthers / Toronto Maple Leafs UNDER 5.5 (-105) OT included
20 Dallas Stars (-140) OT included ML
This pick is actually the one I like best of them all. Vancouver is a terrible 2-6-2 in their last 10 and really starting to head in the wrong direction at the wrong time. They have now lost 3 in a row and 7 of their last 8 games overall. This has to do with Luongo falling off his game a bit but way more due to a ton of injuries and signicantly on defence. The Canucks are without 4 of their starting defenceman now in Kevin Bieksa, Lukas Krajicek, Sami Salo, AND Willie Mitchell. This does not fare well for a defence first and offence second type team in which the Canucks are built around. This also can account for a pretty good indicator as to why Luongo has not been playing well lately. He has not been getting solid defensive play in front of him like he is used to (i.e. dumping the puck out of the zone; clearing rebounds in front of him). The Stars however are 6-3-1 in their last 10 games having won 3 in a row and 6 of their last 8 overall. They also hold a solid 15-9-2 home record this season. Marty Turco gets the call tonight in goal and his career numbers vs the Canucks are beyond amazing. In 17 career starts against Vancouver he holds a 14-3 record, boasting a save percentage of 93.2 %, 2 shutouts, and a ridiculous goals against average of just 1.75!!! Also, the Canucks have only won 2 twice in their last 9 trips to Dallas. The Stars should roll tonight at home!!!
AS ALWAYS, GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!!!
