This guys positives far surpassed his negatives. Of course the media loves to bring up the bad. He was a great coach.

Here's my theory ( based on unnamed sources report):
Knight wanted to make sure his son Pat got the gig, and if he left them mid-season , Tech wouldn't have a whole lot of other options. He already got the previous chancellor fired a year ago over the same issue. He was probably going to retire at season's end anyway, so this way he gets to "influence" the new hire.You can't always get what you want, but if you try some time, you might find, you get what you need.Comment
