totally agree...that was one of the worst calls Ive ever seen...I could see if it was 4th and 2 or 3, but 4th and 13...Bellicheck got way outcoached in that game

Woulda, coulda, shoulda...and Asante shoulda grabbed the INT on the last drive, and Rodney should not have gotten beat out for the ball on a bad thrnow by the Giants 4th receiver...and the supposedly Greatest Team of All time Should Not have let an 11 point underdog stick around.....

And, it didn't even take a perfect game to win.....

Who says he would have made it? Would have been the longest kick he made all year. So why is a potential 13 yard play a worse play than asking a kicker to make a longer fg than he made all year?

dude, who cares if he's made on all year...it's the NFL...if you're kicker in incapable of kicking a 49-yd FG, he shouldn't be on your roster...either way you look at it, it was a dumb move...Pats don't get it, NY got the ball on the 32...Pats miss the FG, NY gets it on the 39...7 yds difference equals an idiotic play call

He didnt make a kick that long all year not because he couldnt.....its because they just didnt kick FGs.....in the NFL nowadays a 49 yarder gets made at a better than a 2-1 clip and the guy has kicked plenty in his career over 50...just not this year and again not because he couldnt....they just never needed him to

Dude, he was 3-5 between 40 and 49 yards. Thats 60 percent. You, im sure, and so many people up here crowned the Pats as being unstoppable and the best team ever. So again, I ask you, if the Pats are such an unstoppable offensive team then why isnt it conceivable that Bellicheck thought they would have at least a 60% chance of getting 13 yards? You guys are so funny. You call that the worst call yet you dont take into account whether he misses it or not. Which based on his stats there is a decent possibility he would have. You also dont take into account that the Pats were grabbing 13 yard gains like it was pee wee football earlier in the season. Plays of which got them here and got them their reputation to begin with. 4th and 8 against the bills and threw a 20 yard td, nobody complained when it gave them the cover or the over. And that is just one of many examples. You guys look for more reasons to validate your pick, yet the reason you lost is because you underestimated the Giants. And so did the Pats. Just 5 weeks ago when the Giants were playing for NOTHING and the Pats were playing for history, NY scored more points and played them closer than any team all year. And all that went out the window because Bellichick had two weeks to prepare bla bla bla.

What killed the Patriots was that first 10 minute drive by the G-Men, that was precious time lost for a late 4th Qt. comeback.
And the Giants had more desire and hunger than the Pats.
Nothing is as far away as one minute ago.

He thought they had a 60% chance of making a 4th and 13? Uh, more like a 10% chance...it wasn't 4th and 2, it was 4th and 13...regardless of who I bet on, that play wouldn't have helped me so I'm speaking as a football fan...that play call was dumb, plain and simple..even if he misses it, it's the right call...31 other NFL HCs would've kicked that ball...it all boils down to Bellicheck's ego being bigger than the team

Again, up until 4 hours again, Bellichick was the best coach ever. Now he makes a call you disagree with and that changes. All I am saying is that he knows his team better than you do. And if he went for it and got it it doesnt mean they score. If they kicked and missed it doesnt mean they lose. Pats had a chance to stop the Giants from taking the lead with 34 seconds left and didnt do it. Thats what the game boils down to. Because as much as you want to call it a bonehead call, it was still a 49 yard fg, which he hadnt made all year. 18 games. When they needed to stop Eli, they couldnt. So blame the defense, dc, or even Bellichick for that. That I would understand.

Who said he was the greatest coach ever? Not me...who said I was blaming him for the loss? Not me...I was simply stating that was a ridiculously stupid play call

Guess I was lumping a few threads into one so for that, I apologize Jimmy. I will absolutely say that you didnt say what I accused you of saying, therefore I shouldnt have.

Im just frustrated because there is so much whining up here and there shouldnt be. The better team TONIGHT won. But again, totally wrong of me to jump on you like that so for that Im sorry.
