First things first
5*****New England -12 over NY Giants ---
We can talk about the talent which is clearly on the Patriots side. That initself can bring you to taking the Patriots.
We can talk about the weather which clearly favors the Patriots as well. There is no arguing that the last three games of the season were the toughest for New England and no surprise the weather wasn't the greatest either. They had to grind it out most of the time and didn't appear to be as dominant as in the first 10 games where they won by an average of 23.3 points. The weather will be perfect for the vertical passing game where Brady has already torched the Giants for a 32-42 for 356 yards and 2TD. I expect Randy Moss to have a HUGE game Sunday.
Speaking of already....this is where I think the key to the game comes in IMO. Playing a team for the second time.
The Giants played three teams two times this year, and lost the 2nd game twice, and won once by only 3. They were outscored by 20 points combined. They gave up 66 points in those three games.
The patriots won all three games in the 2nd game vs opponents this year, winning by a combined 77 points. They gave up only 27 points in those three games combined.
Coaching here is the key, and I think that its more then obvious that the advantage is clearly on the Patriots side.
I expect a Bears/New England 1985 type of game in all honesty. This is New England's time to make history, to shut guys like Mercury Morris up for good, and cement their legacy. With all the SpyGate stuff re-surfacing, you know Belicheck will be rearing to shut everyone up as well.
The Giants had a great season. Congrats to them. But the dream ends in a thud.
Now on to the other props and plays for the Super Bowl.
