This will be a Free Contest for the 2008 MLB Season.
The object is simple. You will pick the team that you think scores the most runs and you will pick the team that you think scores the least. If the Yankees are playing KC and you think they will score 7 or 8 runs, you would use the Yankees as your "High" team. If S.F. is going against Jake Peavy and you think they will score the least amount of runs, you would use S.F. as your "Low" team. You an use any team as many times as you want. You can also use teams playing in the same game as your "High" and your "Low". You cannot use the same team as your high and low.
If the Yankees score 7 runs for you and S.F. scores 2, you would be +5 for the week. If the Yankees score 4 runs and S.F. scores 6, you would get -2 for the week.
No lead will be safe in this contest so please, do not give up.
Rainouts. If you pick a game that is rained out, you must pick a game later that day or the next day to make up for it. If the game is Sunday or Sunday night and there is no next day, you are shit out of luck. If you choose a game that gets rained out and you do not get the pick replaced, you will automatically receive a 0 for "High" score or a 5 for "Low" score depending on which one it is.
You will have to reply in the weekly thread with your picks. There will be one thread each week and your picks must be made either Saturday or Sunday. Both teams MUST be picked for the same day (Unless rainout).
There will be 2 Winners. We will stop the contest at the All Star break and determine Winner number one. After the All Star break we will start a new game with everyone reset to 0.
The Contest will begin on the Weekend of April 5th & 6th and it will last for 15 weeks!
The Prizes will be paid for and sponsored by Myself, Monte and Spark!
There are 2 prizes and the Winner of the 1st half will get to choose which one he or she wants, leaving the other for the 2nd half winner. Pictures of prizes will be in post #2
For those that like to collect these and who are curious, the JP ball ($152) cost more than the CH Ball ($132) did. Some may use that as the determing factor when they choose one and some may not!
Reply here if you want on the list!
Good Luck!
