TONY BRUNO's OFFICIAL RELEASE:

Sorry I haven't been able to say anything to any of you on the My Space messages in the last week but I was working out finalizing my departure from Sporting News Radio.

It's a sad day for me not being at the Super Bowl with all of my friends and most importantly, not being able to continue to provide what most of you found entertaining, refreshing and fun every day. It was that kind of feedback, reaction and vibe from you guys that kept me positive and happy during some very tough times in my personal life.

Going into that studio was my escape from the real world and an entrance into a special place where we could all feel better about silly stuff and get outraged at those few things worthy of that emotion.

I will pursue another nationally syndicated program immediately in hopes of not only continuing what I have been doing for over 35 years, but to make it better, fresher, and more importantly - supported and marketted by people committed to winning and spreading this unique type of programming to the masses.

My goal every day was to stay consistent and not worry about what time of the year it is, whether there are lots of sports going on, or falling into the polls/surveys trap many talk show hosts do when they have little or nothing to say. Thanks for helping me laugh and laughing along with me, even when it wasn't all that funny.

Thanks to all of you; especially Mark Devine in Kokomo, the great Dean in Tampa(feel better), Pat in Indy, Kelly in Albuquerque, that Zany Lady, Becky, Mr. C and the hundreds of people and new listeners I barely know, who have been loyal and supportive of me and my silly radio show.

Hopefully, someone who believes in what I do in this lightly-regarded format of sports talk radio will find me. There are some very talented and smart people in this business and the powers that be know who they are. Here's to resuming the Tony Bruno Show very soon and for those supportive radio stations to bring me back to their airwaves.

I'll stay in touch and this is now the best way to contact me directly instead of using the MySpace Page.
