  • Denver/New Orleans--Have a few thoughts and questions

Concerning this game, I am really liking both New Orleans -8 and the over 205 and here are my reasons.

First of all, Denver is playing for a second straight night on the road. Also, Carmelo should be back but probably not 100%. Yesterday, Dallas was favored by 10 over the same Denver team but with rest. Dallas did not cover but they were a popular pick up here which suprised me. So if they were a go against vs Dallas, then I think they are here too. New Orleans is a solid club, equal to or better than Dallas in my opinion. They are on a hot streak and play well at home. As far as the total, I think that New Orleans seems to play the type of game that their opponent brings. If they are playing a defensive minded team that plays slow halfcourt style, then thats how they play. Against uptempo teams, they play that way. Well, Denver of course is an uptempo team so I see a lot of running in this game. I also think that playing New Orleans team total over 107 is a decent play because Denver presumably will be playing with tired legs. Just wondering the forums thoughts on this game and what I presented here.

Denver is only 4-7 SU w/ no rest, they have covered one of those losses and are 5-6 ATS w/ no rest. Their games are high scoring in this spot, 214 average.

Hornets 5-3 ats as 7-9.5 pt favorite. I'd be slightly worried about a NO letdown after their huge road win Sat at SA, but they way they are playing, tough to think they'll letdown.

Personally, until the 4th quarter it was all Iverson last night. Marcus Camby will get you 13-15 boards a game but its always a question as to whether he will be just ok or a solid offensive contributor. Kenyon Martin has not been consistent enough for me and last night proves that as he had a horrible night from the floor(so did most of the players). Honestly, even if Melo is back I do not see him being his old self.

Can Iverson do it two nights in a row? Sure he can. I think New Orleans wears Denver down tonight personally.

I watched them yesterday. They were very sluggish in the 1st period.

I think NO will come out strong and lay on them in the 1st.
