Today is the last night of NHL action until Tuesday of next week due to this weekend's All-Star Game. Almost every team in the NHL plays tonight as there are 13 games on schedule. I absolutely love tonight's card and lets head into the All-Star break with a BANG!!! I am rolling heavy with all of these selections:
ALL SELECTIONS ARE FOR 3 UNITS EACH (
) :
1/2 Toronto Maple Leafs / Washington Capital OVER 6.0 (-130) OT included
This game should have went over last night but did not. Both teams had numerous scoring chances but couldnt capitalize. Also two back up goalies get the call tonight in Andrew Raycroft and Brent Johnson. I would definately expect it to go over the total this time around!!!
4/6 Philadelphia Flyers (-200) / New York Rangers (-230) (+115) OT included ML Parlay
Crosby out for the Pens. Philly should bounce back from the embarassing home loss to the Devils a couple nights back in which they gave up 7 goals and 5 from Antero Niittymaki. Martin Biron is getting the start tonight vs the Flyers and I would expect him to play very well to prove himself as their top goalie after Niittymaki had somewhat taken the job from him. The Pens have only won 9 times in their last 30 trips to Philly including a most recent 8-2 loss on the 11th of December with Crosby in the line-up. One of the NHL's leading scorers in Ilya Kovalchuk is suspended for the Thrashers and will not play tonight. Also, Rangers are retiring Brian Leetch's jersey, thus the strange 8:00 PM EST start time, should play with some extra jump. The Thrashers have only beaten the Rangers twice in their last 7 meetings and the home team has won the last 5 straight games including a 4-0 New York win a few days ago.
6/24 New York Rangers (-230) / San Jose Sharks (-230) (+106) OT included ML Parlay

The Blues are playing their 3rd road game in 4 nights and have also lost 6 in a row. St. Louis has only beaten the Sharks 3 times in their last 16 meetings. Also, garbage ass goalie Hannu Toivonnen is getting the start for the Blues tonight!!!
11 Ottawa Senators (-130) OT included ML
A fluke happened on Saturday night as the Sens lost 2-0 to the Bolts. Dont expect this to happen again as Ottawa has won 11 of the last 15 meettings in Tampa Bay and have also won 25 of the last 33 against the Lightning overall. Daniel Alfreddson is back in the line-up and did not play in their shutout loss on Saturday night and should give them some extra boost. The Sens have lost 3 in a row and good teams dont continue to lose. Ottawa should be able to get back in the win colum tonight vs the worst team in the Eastern Conference!!!
25 Anaheim Mighty Ducks (-130) OT included ML
Ducks fought hard against the NHL's best Detroit Red Wings last night. Now they play the exact opposite in the NHL's worst. Quite the transition going from playing best to worst and that should really benefit the Ducks in this spot. Also the Kings are without two of their best players in Ladislav Nagy and Michael Cammalleri both out due to injury and that doesnt help when you are dead last in the NHL overall. Anaheim has won the last 4 in a row over the Kings and 6 of the last 8 meetings in Los Angeles. The Ducks should be able to pick up a "W" tonight!!!
AS ALWAYS, GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!!!
