Texas has opened up Big 12 play as one of the disappointments, losing on the road to Missouri and squeeking out a home win vs Colorado this past Saturday in a game where they trailed by 13 in the 2nd half. Oklahoma State is in the same boat, just not with the same expectations. After following up an impressive win vs Texas Tech in the Big 12 opener, the Pokes have responded with back to back road losses to Baylor and Iowa State respectively. Okie State has struggled to find a go to guy as freshman phenom, James Anderson has a tendency to fade off in the darkness when the Cowboys seem to need him most. OSU will have to be hitting on all cylinders to keep pace with a very talented Texass team that won on the road vs UCLA early in the season. D.J. Augustine and A.J. Abrams have too much pop for the Okie State guards and I see Byron Eaton getting in early foul trouble trying to keep up with Augustine. Okie State doesn't have a backup point guard after Eaton and the offense will be harder to find with him on the bench. Big man Connor Atchley has been a bright spot in Big 12 play so far and if that continues tonight, along with the Double A play of Abrams and Augustine, I think it will spell trouble for the Pokes at home.
