If New York werent the other team, then I may agree with you. Because yea, Favre is a feel good story and he gettin up there and may or may not retire. I get that. But being opposite the Giants creates a different kind of situation because there is no media market or viewership equal to the Giants in all of sports (other than the Yankees) and I dont think the NFL would mind too much having the Giants in the Superbowl. There are Giant fans all over the country. All over the world. And Im sure there are Favre fans around too, and of course I dont have any statistics to back it up, but ratings wise I doubt the NFL would lose if the Giants were in the Superbowl. If the Packers were playing the Panthers, Bucs, Seahawks, Eagles, Cardinals, Lions and teams like that I would agree. But not the Giants. Just my opinion.

And Im not saying its not going to happen. Just saying that if it did I would question that being the reason why.

I agree in that I am so sick and tired (and I up the Gmen are too!) of hearing how this is "Favre weather'...the guy is 3-0 in is career in games where the temp was in single digits at kick...3!!! 3 total games in what, 18 yrs!?!?!?! And now this is 'his' weather????

You may be right. Another New York\Boston build up. NFL brass would love that. Lots of hype would come with it.

            Doubtful, but possible

Why does the NFL need GB? With Pats going for perfection I don't think it really mattered who's their opponent.

More meaningless media BS that the fans buy.

Gotta love the G-men...but to be honest. Every Giant fan should be glad that Brett Favre was absolutely terrible in that second half.

They could have marched Barbara Streisand out there and gotten as good of an athletic performance and double the intimidation factor...Pack by 3!
