  • NYG +8 Big move from 7

The line with my guy opened at 7. It takes a lot of money to move the line from 7 to 7 1/2, no move in juice is saying that all the money is coming in on GB. Now the line is on 8. I love Favre but 8 is really moved from 7. 8: changes my play from GB to NYG. Any thoughts on this?

I really think if 1 point made you jump ship and switch sides, you never felt great about it to begin with.

I ditto Wayne. Kind of means you were calling for specifically a 7 point GB victory in which case you felt that you would push. Not talking about teasers of course.

I'm sorry but that makes no sense to me. If you think the Giants win by 7, why wouldn't you take them +7 ?

I havent liked the GB side of the line since it opened. Without laying the juice I feel it's a poor play since both teams are playing so well and I abhor laying the 1/2 point. But now that your line has moved to +8 on NYG I agree with you that the play has moved to the other side. I wouldnt have played the game on the old line period but with the movement I'm leaning towards playing the Giants also.

Well even by that example, why were you betting G.B. if you thought it was going to be a push?

So your saying that the Giants will win outright because the line moved a point? Interesting theory. And being a Giant fan I kind of hope you are right. I know the bookies dont get crushed theory but these playoff lines have moved a ton in each game. This one really isnt throwing up a red flag for me yet.

I cant even begin to explain the differnce in the win percentage between 7 and 7 1/2 so never mine. Just trying to help. By the way I am pulling for GB. Good luck everyone this weekend.

I think you are missing the point. Wayne was saying that you couldn't have felt that strongly if a half point or one point makes you totally change sides. He is saying it doesn't make sense that you were on GB when it was 7 points, and flip to Giants when is it 8 points. If you were betting on GB -7, you obviously thought GB would win by more than 7 points, b/c I doubt you were betting for a push.

You can also buy it back to 7 points if that is the way you felt.

if you like the giants to win - why not just hit the moneyline? BM has them up to +285 now.
