        The recruitment of Eric Gordon has turned Illinois-Indiana into more of a bitter rivalry, as kid reneged on deal with Illini when Sampson was hired to be Indiana's coach. Hoosiers lost two of three vs Illinois LY, scoring just 54 ppg, but Illini's talent level is way down now; they're 0-3 in Big 11, losing by 16-4-10 pts. Indiana won nine in row, taking first two in Big 11 by 3-14 pts, and both of them were on the road.

        -- Louisville beat Kentucky, West Va in last two games, has a date with Marquette up next, has to guard against letdown vs Rutgers team that is 0-3 in Big East, losing by 13-12-26 points. Favorites are 17-10 in Big East play (3-4 on road).

                -- Central Michigan is already playing 10th road game of year (3-6 in first nine). Visiting team won both Ball State-Central tilts LY; Ball is 1-12 this year, losing MAC opener 58-54 at Toledo. Chippewas won their MAC opener at home vs E. Michigan.
