This is just my opinion and would appreciate others as well. We all know Kansas is known for it's high powered offense, but I have to admit the only game I've seen Kansas play is against Missouri where they didn't look that good at all in the first half, and then couldn't be stopped in the second. If their defense could've made some stops in the 2nd half it would've been them losing to Oklahoma instead of the Tigers. Looking at the team stats I see they average almost 300 ypg passing and 200 ypg rushing. But are they a pass first offense or balanced? The reason I ask is if they like to throw the ball all over the field, I feel the 40 days between games will really effect their timing and they might not get it back until it's too late. It's also strange to me the number was only set at 3.5 then dropping to 3. I feel like at first glance anyone would jump all over Va Tech only giving 3 to a team who played only one "difficult" game and lost. Given how little i know about both teams my gut opinion would be on VTech as i feel they may have the better players and when was the last time Kansas played a january game that wasn't basketball? Again I would greatly appreciate anyone's opinion who knows or followed these teams. Thanks in advance and Happy New Year.
