VA TECH LINEBACKER INJURED AT THE BEACH
The strangest sports injury of 2007 may have taken place on one of the final days of 2007, when Virginia Tech linebacker Vince Hall injured his left knee during a team outing at the beach. Hall could miss the Orange Bowl Thursday night.
Tech trainer Mike Goforth said Hall's injury happened when he banged his knee while riding a jet ski on Sunday.
"It's tender right now," Virginia Tech coach Frank Beamer said. "I'm not sure what's going to happen."
If Hall can't go, it's bad news for Virginia Tech and good news for Kansas, the Hokies' Orange Bowl opponent. Hall is second on the team with 92 tackles......
