No I wasn't kidding. I think they expended a lot of energy in trying to be the only team to beat New England. I think it was a stupid thing to do.

I disagree. The last I checked a season is 16 games not 15. Each and every team has a responsibility to play all 16 games.

If the Giants are 'drained' and can't get 'up' for a playoff game then they don't deserve to be in the playoffs and/or wouldn't advance beyond the wild card game.

Why aren't the skins 'emotionally drained'? They've been on an emotional ride for 3 games. Using your logic, why is one team drained while another team isn't?

The Redskins may very well be drained. If that's the case, Seattle could make it ugly. But the Redskins have been playing for a playoff spot. But to me it did not make sense for the Giants, with nothing to gain, to expend that kind of energy against the Pats. They really played hard. They may or may not be drained, but I think they should have played the starters for the first half only, on cruise control at that. I think they should have played to stay healthy and not gone all out for the whole game.

I agree with this statement that Frank made. My point was that it didn't make sense to go all out vs the Pats. They had nothing to gain except potential bragging rights.

Gruden could not have expected to take the heat from his own quarterback, Jeff Garcia, who did not sound at all happy about his inactivity the past two games.

"I feel over-rested in a sense," Garcia said on a conference call. "I feel restless, so to speak. It seems like it has been a while since I have actually played a complete game, and I don't really like that feeling. I am more of an old-school mentality. I like to play until I am basically dragged off the field. It's one of those things where I had to deal with coach Gruden's decision; he is the coach and that is the position he took."

if holmgren takes his head out of his ass and runs the ball the game is close, coin flip, but if they try to just throw like they have been lately then the redskins corners get a pick and win for sure.........

They can't run the ball. Alexander looks like a guard trying to run the ball and Morris is anything but impressive. Even if they could, the Redskins have shut down the running game during their winning streak. Dallas had 1 friggin yard rushing. 1 yard!!! And they didn't sit their starting backs or OL. Barber was rendered useless. How bout AD vs the Skins? Nothing. If Hasselbeck has to air it out 50 times, that's not good news for Seattle. Springs, Smoot and Landry have been incredible defending the pass for the last month. Landry is playing like the new Taylor. I think Skins win outright 26-17.
