I like hawaii - I want to root for the underdog to crash the bcs party, and jones has built a solid program - but I think they are going to just be happy to be there and they are ready to get whacked upside the head

georgia averages 100 more yds rushing per game than hawaii, and they also allow less yardage defensively....when I see that, it means they should be able to control the clock and keep brennan and company on the sidelines....38-20 sounds about right

Let's see, college head coach with no NFL coaching experience (if I'm wrong someone please correct me) or former NFL head coach/offensive coordinator/QB coach/player with two Hall of Fame QB's as former players who credit him with a large part of their successful careers.......

The answer, to me, seems obvious......

I was liking and defending and touting this Hawaii team and run-n-shoot show, and even moreso after slaying nemesis Boise St, but after witnessing the struggle at home v Washington Huskies, I was forced to come down off of my roost for a bit.

I don't think they'll be sneaking up on Georgia, who incidentally was playing very well the last half of the year. These 4 week layoffs always provide an unknown variable, as to who will prepare and respond properly.

I will be pleasantly surprised if defenseless Warrior Rainbows can keep this one close.

Hawaii has the best player on the field along with one of the best offensive schemes.* They can put up points on anyone.* Will Georgia run on them, sure.* But that doesnt mean that Georgia wins this game big.* Bernard rushed for 177 yards last night for Oregon State.* They won by 7.* And were lucky to do so.* And as far as Mark Richt and June Jones, what exactly has Mark Richt ever won that would give him the nod over anyone? I believe he is a great coach but certainly not above June Jones in any way. Just my opinion. I think its a close game with Hawaii coming out on top, but good luck with your GOY.

Just think about it guys, i really think this is the easiest game to handicap of all the bowls...If you have seen georgia play then you know that run the ball excellent and probably have a better all around QB( Who has something to prove unlike Brennan we already know he can throw great 2 yd. slant passes!) than Brennan anyway...for god sakes they throw the ball 60 times a game, think about it, every QB June Jones has ever had has put up stupid numbers! Im telling you, and again if you seen georgia play, Georgia will run the ball ALL OVER this defense and Brennan will be pressured ALL DAY long...I see Georgia winning big!!

Hawaii's Big Wins: Boise, Washington (Not that it matters but any of the games below of Georgia's big wins, any 4 of those teams would have beat Hawaii's biggest wins)

Georgia Big Win's (Remember we are talking completely different conferences here and a world of talent level difference): Auburn, Florida, Kentucky, at Alabama

Stafford is the better all around QB? He's barely acquitted himself as a QB ready to carry a team. He's helped tremendously by the outstanding running game you speak of so highly and throws a third of the amount of total passes that Brennan does. Yes, Brennan does throw slants, shovels and screens, but he makes all the throws on time and with deadly accuracy. You'll argue that his yardage totals are inflated because his receivers do such a great job running after the catch, but that wouldn't be possible if he didn't hit them in stride and on time.

As far as you saying that every one of Jones' QBs has put up huge numbers..... doesn't that kind of kill your argument for Richt being the better coach?

Georgia was playing the best ball in the SEC at the end of the year! Hawaii away from the island with all the distractions of N. Orleans Georgia should cover this number ! Georgia is one of the best teams in a very strong conference year in and year out!

I could buy all your arguments angle, not that I agreed with them, but I could at least understand where you were coming from until you made the IMO ridiculous statement that Stafford is a better QB than Colt Brennan. Brennan has an absolute rocket for an arm with deadly accuracy. Neither of those aspects are due to the system. Rather, he excels in the system because of it. Believe me sir if you gave Mark Richt the choice of having Brennan or Stafford and he was promised nobody would know how he answered, he would pick Brennan in a second. In fact, with the exception of Urban Meyer, I would probably say that for the rest of Div I coaches. Yea you are right that Georgia will put up points and that Hawaii played a week schedule but the talent disparity between the qbs is huge in the favor of Colt Brennan.

I am very familiar with the SEC living in Alabama. Richt is a coach that always has his team ready for the bowls and the talent matchup here is way lopsided. If Hawaii weren't undefeated this line would be at least 14. Im Posting this now so i get the line at 8. It might go up a little. This is a HUGE game for me. This game should not even be close. I look for Moreno to rush for over 200 and Georgia just pound them on the ground, i mean absolutely run ALL OVER this Defense. I would be shocked if Hawaii scored more than 17 pts. in this one, Brennan will be pressured all day long! Georgia by 20+

                            YTD Record: (5-3)

Best of luck to all and i hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

All due respect bud...but Hawaii is good and they are motivated to play, you can trust me on that. They may very well lose the game, but I can promise you this defense is very salty that people are calling them soft. Remember the name Blaze Soares...they will be calling his name all night when GA has the ball.

I also think that you have that "SEC is better than everybody else" attitude. It may be the best top to bottom, but there are other teams in the nation that can play football too. We kicked Bama's ass in Hawaii, and we were in the game at Bama also. JMO, but damn tired of all that SEC bullshit.

                            Any given day...any given day.
