      KB,
I always thought that 10K was the limit for no tax papers. But someone had told me it was 5K now. That's why I am
pondering. If a 1099 is involved, I got to fly back up and
produce some ID and sign the forms, right ??

If you play blackjack and win over $10,000 dont take it to the cashiers cage all at once and you wont get taxed. Take $9000 and go back the next day and cash out the rest. Slot machines are taxed at $1200.

Im not sure about sports betting. Call the sportsbook you bought the ticket from and ask them.
