I don't see how them making a stupid fumble and giving up a TD, corelates with your statement. Is the UCLA D so stout that you don't think that BYU could score again, if UCLA got ahead? If so, how did BYU end up scoring 17 points??

The point at the time was that if UCLA marched down the field, and they did not, and scored six, it would show me that that the fumble at the end of the 1H was demoralizing and that BYU would be in big trouble.

They didn't just fumble and give up a TD...they made a bonehead decision and gave away 6 points. Those type of decisions could lose games.

And BYU had 2 rushing yards the 1H and the UCLA defense has spent most of the 1H in the BYU backfield.
