              Anaheim at San Jose

                    Hot Lines

Ice picks: Saturday's best hockey bets

Chicago Blackhawks at Ottawa Senators (-222, 6)

The Blackhawks have been one of the surprise teams so far this season. Tonight they will attempt to knock off one of the best clubs in the league. Chicago will try to win consecutive games for the first time in December when they matchup with the Senators.

Despite being 0-3-1 in their last four road games, the Hawks have road paydays against NHL powers Detroit, Calgary and Dallas this season. The Blackhawks have won three of their last four games against the Senators.

This will mark Martin Havlat's first game in Ottawa against the team with which he started his career.

                    Pick: Blackhawks +202

Montreal Canadiens at Atlanta Thrashers (-115, 6)

Montreal backers got an early Christmas present when starting goalie Cristobal Huet returned to the lineup this week, stopping 35 of 37 shots for a win over the Caps.

Tonight Huet will try to power the Canadiens to a fourth straight road win when they face the Thrashers. Huet is 3-0-0 with a 1.33 GAA in his last three starts against the Thrashers.

Alex Kovalev is carrying the load on offense for Montreal. He has a team-best 14 goals in 34 games this season after he had 16 in 73 contests in 2006-07.

The Canadiens are 4-1 in their last five road games.

                    Pick: Canadiens +105

Vancouver Canucks at Phoenix Coyotes (+114, 5)

The Coyotes have been cashing in on the road lately and tonight they could have a hard time carrying that success to their home rink.

Despite winning three of their last four at home, the Coyotes have struggled there this season. They have the fewest home wins of any team in the league with a total of five.

The Canucks, who have won two straight games overall, have won nine of the last 11 meetings in the series with Phoenix.

Vancouver's last two road games were losses, but the team has not dropped more than two consecutive games away from home since a six-game skid a year ago.

                    Pick: Canucks -124
