UP anothr nice 4 Units last night only losing one of the top four plays by a lowly bucket with the Raiders:
Well the chalk plays last night did indeed bring us in the winners. Tonight looks more like Santa mixing up his stocking stuffers some:
***REMEMBER TO TRY AND GET YOU PLAYS IN WHEN THEY COME OUT.....YOU SAVE HUGE VALUES OF 2-5 POINTS IN MANY OF THE PLAYS**** (My exception to this rule is if you believe there is a large dog that the public will pound on the opposite fav...that pays to wait)
If I could make some plays tonight they would look something like this:
BALL ST VS SANTA BARBARA DESERVES SOME LOOKING INTO!!
I originally had it as a 5* until the deeper I dug more I found. The Gauchos will have to show NO EMOTION, HUSTLE AND GIVE almost ZERO effort to lose this game. Maybe the snow covered fields passing by the bus windows during the drive from Indy to Muncie, Indiana after the flight might be the sominex.
1* BALL ST + 4 1/2 vs Santa Barbara (Fucked up line of the day)
This should be the highest rated play for every player on every board taking the Gauchos - 4 1/2......My Spider sense is tingling big time on this one.
This could be GUPPY NUMBER TWO PLAY FOLLOWING SIU OF LAST NIGHT SO BEWARE!
The line HAS DROPPED from the opening of 4 1/2 to -4 now.....I really am hating this play more and more.
EVERY SQUARE IN THE WORLD WILL BE SEEING 0-9 VS 9-1 and ONLY 4 POINTS!!
I would LOVE to say this is a trap play....Ball St 0-9====Santa Barb 9-1 and their only loss to Stanford. I can find NO STATS other than home court that point to Ball State. They lose in every comparison shooting category.
The Gauchos return starters, have install a nice half court press and have doubled their turnovers to 21 from 12 of last year. Four starters and three other lettermen are back from last season's three-way tie for second place in the Big West, and they've lived up to their early billing. Guard Alex Harris, who led the league in scoring last year, and forward Chris Devine, the Gauchos' two preseason all-league first-team picks, rank second and eighth in the conference in scoring.
Now the boys from Muncie are in total turmoil including the Ronny Thompson (Georges son) getting an apology from the university after he departed as head coach. Only eight scholarship players and one walk-on dressing for games. Six players either left the program or were dismissed in the coaching changeover from Ronny Thompson, who resigned in July, to Billy Taylor.
After two games, forward Anthony Newell suffered a fractured bone in a foot and was lost until January. He was arguably their best player, and was coming off a career-best 29-point performance.
Ball State's roster includes only eight scholarship players. The Cardinals added three walk-ons recently to give them enough players for practice sessions.
5* NEW MEX -7 1/2 vs New Mex St
Hmmmmmmm...........New Mex St just humbled the Lobos by 9 points at State.......now the wolves are FAVORED by almost 8????????? The Lobos shot a season-low 38 percent from the field and were out-rebounded by a 44-28 margin in that game at NMEXST. They changed up their lineups since that game and have gone 2-0 including a defensive dismantling of Tex Tech and Bobby Goodnight.
New Mexico is 9-2 SU AND 8-2 ATS
N. Mex St is 5-7 and 1-7 ATS.
This looks like a better play to me than S.B. over B.S. at 4 points.
.
4* LSU -1 @ Wich St
LSU with a one point road loss to NOVA and only a 3 point Neutral loss to Arizona St. shows how much disdain they have for road problems. Wich St is rebuilding and they should roll the shockers at home in this one. Wich St's wins are vs lower tier teams and even have a home loss to Texas Arlington...
3* UNLV +4 (BODOG..wait and may get more than +4) vs Arizona
I really think they have the WRONG TEAM favored here.
2.5* OHIO -3 1/2 vs St. Johns (Neutral Court)
This is a very good Ohio team with only one bombing on their record and that was to Kansas
2* SOUTH MISS -18 1/2 vs La Tech (Tourney champ game)
This may be covered by the half. As long as starters are not pulled half way through the second to blow the cover this should be a play.
2* NORTHER COLORADO +9 1/2 vs Oregon St
1.5* CENT MICH -2 1/2 (missed the opening of -2) vs Wisc Milw [
Public perception is this is a "normal" Wisc Mil team and will probably play the name vs a team in C.Mich with a losing 4-5 record. But they did beat both Detroit and Michigan ON THE ROAD so they have a shot here. Wisc Mil is down to 2-3 decent players after the removal of their star in November.
1* WOFFARD +17 1/2 vs Purdue
Boilers off a huge win and may take Woffy a little light. Woffy can bomb 3's which makes this a LOT of points to cover.
OPINION ONLY
S.C. -3 over Baylor
BEST OF LUCK TO EVERYONE IF YOU DABBLE WITH ANY OF THIS TONIGHT! Have other things to do so will see ya later....hope everyone has a great night. Goldv
