Does anybody have any information on GT. I know Kansas is very good. I have not seen GT play this year. I am leaning toward Kansas tonight but would like some info.

I have them a mid to low mid level of the pack in the Conference as they are a shell of the powerhouse of a couple years ago. BAD LOSSES TO NC GREENSBORO & Winthrop....GOOD WIN VS NOTRE DAME and impressive win vs NC CHAROLETTE (a very good team) and narrow loss to INDIANA on the road.

10 to 11 points is a LOT to give a decent home team while you play on the road......Look for a free throw fest at the end of the game if it is within the magic 9 point or less lead for either team. NEITHER TEAM IS GREAT from the F.T. line with the edge going to G.T. AT close to a 70% to 64% advantage. BOTH SHOOT A TORRID 52% AND 48% clip for all games respectively. BOTH shoot at 39% from 3 point land. Projected line calc is speced at -9.....

Line is too close for me to play it.

Tech did not look good or play with emotion in the loss at Vanderbilt.

That is troubling news after Georgia Tech followed a disastrous losing season (11-17) two years ago with a 20-12 record last year that was good for the ACC's final entry into the NCAA Tournament. It was the fourth NCAA bid in seven seasons for Hewitt.

G D'Andre Bell has been Tech's starting point guard for the its last four games, beginning with the Yellow Jackets' loss to Winthrop in the semi-finals of the Paradise Jam. The rest of the starting lineup has remained the same for all seven games of the season.

Alade Aminu, a 6-10 center, is third on the team in both scoring (11.3 ppg) and rebounding (5.7 per game), while ranking third in the ACC in field goal percentage (57.4). He has struggled in Tech's last two games, however, totaling just nine points.

LOOKING AHEAD
After taking two weeks off for semester exams, the Yellow Jackets come back with mid-week blockbuster game against Kansas, one week before Christmas. It's not exactly the kind of opponent a young team like Tech would like to face after such a layoff. The big issue with this game is how Tech will respond after such a large gap between games. Ideally, teams prefer to play a lightweight or two before Christmas, so players can get refocused on basketball while building confidence. But this break is longer than normal.

ROSTER REPORT
C Zack Peacock returned Nov. 27 at Indiana after missing the first five games with a stress reaction in his right foot. He played only eight minutes at Indiana, scoring just two points, but scored 17 points in 19 minutes in the loss at Vanderbilt.

PG Moe Miller, a freshman, who started the first two games of the season, also played at Indiana after missing all three games in the Paradise Jam with a back injury. Miller took a spill into the base of a goal standard in practice the day before the first round of the tournament, sustaining a bone bruise in his lower back.

GT has not played in 13 days,have not played at home since Nov 9 and hasn't played a top 10 team non-conference team since 1989.Place should be rocking but the defense of GT is what is going to hurt them.GT is last in the acc in field goal defense,3-point defense,3-pointers allowed and rebounds per game.I will be giving up the 11.

Funny how it came down exactly to a foul fest with Kansas's achiles heel clanking them down the stretch. GT's 3's can keep them in many many games but their ball handling is HORRIBLE!
