CHICAGO - The Chicago Blackhawks traded minor-league winger Pierre Parenteau to the New York Rangers for a draft pick on Thursday.
The 24-year-old had been playing with the Blackhawks AHL affiliate in Rockford. He had one assist in five games.
Chicago will receive a conditional pick in the 2008 draft as compensation.
Parenteau was originally acquired by the Blackhawks last December in a trade with Anaheim
