You think so? Patton is the only one in that group that I like and he's been headed the wrong direction lately. This looks to me like the Orioles dumping Tejada for a bag of magic beans the day before the Mitchell Report comes out.

I would move Everett to the bench, they have Ty Wiggington to play 3rd. They still need another top of the line starter and they were stupid to trade Lidge.

This could be a pretty decent lineup in the NL:

                    1 - Bourn, CF
                    2 - Matsui, 2B
                    3 - Berkman, 1B
                    4 - C.Lee, LF
                    5 - Tejada, SS
                    6 - Pence, RF
                    7 - Wigginton, 3B
                    8 - Towles, C

they need everetts glove, one of the best fielding ss in baseball. could use wiggy off the bench, i think he's overrated. could also play him at 1b some games, w/ lance going to the OF.

as for lidge, he needed to go. change of scenery will do him well.

I still HATE that taveras trade from last year.

I don't see why Lidge had to go, he was a dominating relief pitcher, that's very valuable. He had great numbers again last year. So what he gave up a monster homerun to Pujols, big deal. They'll miss him huge.

Maybe i'm just looking blankly at the numbers. 5 players for 1...and that 1 is an injury prone possible steriod user who's on the decline IMO.

Just doesn't make sense to me. but I've been wrong before....

Those five players are pretty average. Scott's ok, Patton might be ok, Albers looks terrible. Tejada is 31, still should be good for .300 and 20 homeruns for 3 more years. Didn't he win the Homerun derby in Houston a few years ago?
