Nice 5-1 day for Saturday hoops and were just a Wake Forest clank fest away from a 6-0.
Not a lot to pick from tomorrow as the lines opening up do not really show a solid advantage for us early. However there are a couple worth playing now but will not force any plays if they are just not there.
2* VTECH -7.5 vs G.W.
I have always like our first president as a dog in the past but this game has them a little out of their league. A barely above avg. VT team at 4-3 vs an avg team in GW at 3-3. The fighting Washington's have dropped both of their last two on the road, ONE being to UCLA by 20+...no real big shame there but the other to WHO.......MARYLAND BALTIMORE COUNTY BY 10 POINTS!!??
They are a horrible 4-9 over the last 10 yrs as a 6.5 to 9 point dog and yet VT is a stellar 7-3 over the same time. Does the past matter that much......somewhat when it is YOUR home court. VT even had a decent showing by only losing by 6 to Butler in a tourney that the Dogs dominted.
1* TEMPLE +4 vs NOVA
Once again Vegas has their lines out fishing. 6-1 vs a 4-4 team???? Shades of Penn St vs Seton Hall in reverse as a dog! WHY is a decided underling only a 4 point dog at home to an up and coming power?
Look for free throws and fouls to determine a dog cover here as NOVA IS A HORRIBLE 63% as a team and Temp is a very good 80%. They are equal in 3 pt accuracy and Temp has the ADVANTAGE on overall field goal % as well. Temp plays UNDER the totals while Nova likes the overs. If you look at the schedule this is really NOVA's first real ROAD game as the others were at neutral sites. Temple has a comfort zone here.
SMALL PLAY BUT WORTH A SHOT.
Here are a couple of garbage pail plays to see if we can get on the right side of the fixed off refs in the No Fun League. Add a couple of hoops plays to them for fun as well.
