I am going to throw a small play out tonight on the Richmond App State tonight.
I follow Southern Conference Sports agreat deal and know quite a lot about App State. Appalachian State is a well coached team that has won the Division IIA the past two years in a row. They are probably best known for their upset of Michigan the first week.
This is not the same team that beat Michigan over 3 months ago. They have struggled in their last two play off games, and a coaching blunder by James Madison is the only reason they are playing tonight.
Richmond on the other hand is coming off a playoff road win against Wofford last week. Wofford is the same team that beat App 42-21 earlier in the year.
The Mountaineers are playing average ball at best right now. Richmond should make this a close game, and may win outright.
Reasons not to get too excited:
Boone is not an easy place to play as a visitor. Weather should not be a factor (30's, little wind).
Richmond has never made it this far, App has won it all the past two years.
In any event, I am playing Richmond for $100, which is an above average play for me. App has been hyped and over hyped Richmond is playing well, and represent an excellent value. I am also playing a smaller amount on the ML
The total scares me a little bit so I am staying away.
