I think your right kapt it was a good deal for both teams. And the Dodgers will benefit by having him in the lineup and field.

And a 2 year deal gives us a better option of dealing him after the year if it doesnt work it in 08.

He sucks. Are you kidding me? 36 million for a guy who hit .220 last year and is a career .260 hitter? And is not not curious that his best years were during the steroids era? When I saw this deal I thought Kevin Malone was back.

In his worst year, he hit 26 homeruns and drove in 94 rbi's. 10 time gold glove winner, and he's 30 years old. I think a two year deal is great, 4 or 5 years would've been risky, but 2 is a steal. Torii Hunter hit 28 homeruns last year, which is about his average, and he signed 5 year contact. Whoever gets Rowand is screwed, they guy has his best season ever with 27 homeruns. I'll take the guy coming off his worst season over the guys that had career years, everytime.

How can you guys complain about 100 strikeouts? He had 138, that's around the same as Matt Holliday and Miguel Cabrera

I guess he's not as good as Andy Pettitte 16 mill per season or Jose Guillen 13 million per season. He's better than Torrii Hunter and Aaron Rowand for sure.
