I know it may be early to post this play, but I think the line will move against me.
My Favorite Bowl Game Of the Year Play:
BYU -4 1/2
R u kidding me with this line?
1st off, UCLA is bad, and they don't even know who is going to coach them in the bowl game.
2nd, the similarities between this year's LV Bowl and last year's game are eerie. BYU played a bad Oregon team last year. The line opened at BYU -5 1/2 and was actually bet down to 3 1/2 by gametime (not sure why). Coming into that game, Oregon had lost 3 straight and was 7-5. This year, UCLA is 6-6 and has lost 4 of 5 with their only win coming against a Dennis Dixon-less Oregon team. Going into last year's game, BYU won 8 straight...coming into this game, they've won 9 straight. LY, BYU was ranked #16 going into the game...this year they're ranked #17.
3rd, although UCLA beat BYU in week 2 of the season 27-17, check out the numbers from the game:

Looking at these stats, it's obvious penalties and TOs cost BYU the game.
4th, BYU has a huge QB match-up advantage with Max Hall over any of UCLA's 14 QBs. He has been very good this season as a Sophomore and in only his 2nd game as a college starter, threw for 391 yards against UCLA in that game. On the season, he finished with 3,617 yds passing, 60% completions, 24 TDs and 12 INTs.
5th, BYU has a stud Freshman RB in Harvey Unga who had a combined 1,800+ yards rushing and receiving and 17 TDs.
6, Although the game will be played closer to LA, I expect a huge homefield advantage for BYU as their fans will come in floods to Vegas. (yea, I know mormons don't drink, gamble, or smoke especially in a place nicknamed "Sin City," but they'll come for the game)
7th, Notre Dame got 1 of its whole 3 wins against UCLA...lol.
I'm sure I could go on and on with reasons why I love BYU in this spot, but I think 7 will do for now. I've been waiting for this line to come out thinking it would be about 7 or 8 in which case, I was still going to hammer it. I regret not unloading on AF against Utah earlier this season when I felt almost as strongly as I do here. I actually am more confident in this play which kinda scares me. Anyway, I know you guys clown on me for bitching all the time, but if this play actually loses, I'll be the 1st to admit, I don't know a fucking thing about FB. I don't like using or hearing the "L" word, but seriously, I think this is a LEGIT play...haha. GL if you fade/follow.
