  • Picks For Monday

    NFL
    --------

I seriously do not know how Baltimore is going to score more than 10 points. Kyle Boller scares the hell out of me and i think he is catching this defense at the wrong time after last week. I really do think N.E. took last week off and they almost paid the price for it. That was "The" game they could have lost and somehow didn't. I guarantee Belichick was all over them this week. They sound very pumped up and ready for this game and they are eager to prove last week was just a "Fluke". I think they will confuse Boller all night and force him in to many mistakes. Shut down Mason and stack the line for Willis and then what? Don't forget the Adalius Thomas factor here either. Ray Lewis called him/them out a few weeks ago. The Patriots didn't forget that and they have been looking forward to this game for a few weeks now. You can bet your ass that this team and Thomas want to prove a point tonight. The way this team is playing, you do not want to drop bulleting board material on them and increase their focus. This Raven's defense is very good but N.E. hasn't scored less than 24 all year and only under 31 once. I think their defense (Baltimore) will come to play but with a short field for N.E. (Boller), and no offense to help them ... I just don't see it being that close. N.E. 34-10

I am tied for 6th in Fantasy, top 6 make the Playoffs. The guy I am tied with for 6th has Brady going tonight and I have Welker and McGahee. Total Pts for the season is the tie breaker and I am 10 behind going into tonight?

Let's agree that the Pats win, Brady throws 3 TD's, 2 to Welker and McGahee runs for a buck 50 and 2 TD's...and we can all be happy! I know, I know...wishful thinking....

      GL tonight.

With the NYJ & Oakland both winning yesterday, New England now sits with the 3rd overall pick in the '08 NFL Draft thanks to San Francisco. I'm thinking maybe Darren McFadden or Dorsey from LSU. Maybe a LB if there is one rated that high. Either way, what a great luxury sitting where they are and also having a top 5 pick in the draft.

Surely the league will take away the higher draft pick?

No, they lost their own draft pick which would have been a very late 1st rounder!

Just think kb, we will have a higher pick than the Bills. Not fair is it?

Wayne, what was the vibe of your area about the AD/Lewis shots at each other? AD calls out the coach and "stars" of the team as glory hogs, and both Billick and Lewis said AD was right there seeking the limelight with them.

They never say much. They will do their talking on the field. That was between AD and Lewis, nobody else got involved but they all remember.

Nothing in the press? Just wondered, as I agreed with AD's comment about him being on a "team" now who doesn't seek out the spotlight.

The New England players never give the press any comments to write about involving other teams or players.
