I see some great value here in buying half a point and taking the G-men at +3. Although they are coming off a tough loss to the Cowgirls, I don't see them losing to the Skins. I don't think they'll have a hangover. Normally I don't like to take a team on the road following a Monday night game, but Washington is a short train ride away for them and their first 2 games were at home. And although the Skins are 2-0, I'm not impressed - both of their wins came against 2nd string quarterbacks. They beat the Jets at home by only 3 - the Giants are much better than the Jets. If by chance the Giants would lose, I don't see it by more than 3.
The Giants will play with a chip on their shoulder and be focused for this next division game. I see the Skins being more relaxed and playing with less urgency since the heat is off Spurrier slightly now that they are 2-0.
Does anybody know if the Giants offensive lineman who had back spasms is going to play against the Skins? Or are they going with 3 rookies again?
Also, perhaps the Skins practice schedule, etc. may be interrupted slightly with Isabel?? Maybe that's a stretch - but another factor that may lean towards taking the Giants.
I'm not a Giants fan at all so I have no emotional ties to the game. Does anybody else see this game the same way - or am I missing something? I just wanted to get this line before it goes down, unless the experts here think otherwise.
