  • Tech Fan Will Be Happy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reports here in ATL,Georgia Tech will fire Chan Gailey today.44-26 overall in his time at GT but 0-6 vs Georgia is what I think cost him.One year ago they played for the ACC Championship(thanks to Calvin Johnson)and now he's looking for a job.

Definitely think expectations were raised after appearing in the ACC title game, especially because the conference isn't particularly strong right now. But I definitely think you're right, going 0-6 vs in state rival won't help out at all...

Ted Roof from Duke was just fired also.He was a former player and assistant coach at Tech.Tech can do better than him IMO.

Who would want to go to Duke.Your just setting yourself up for failure.Look at Rich Brooks from Kentucky. This was his year. His one shot at going to a SEC championship and he didn't get it done. Now he loses Woodson and will probably lose 8 games next year and get shit canned. These small teams in these power conferences have a shot every ten years to have a miracle season and most of the time one coach don't stay that long.

I just don't see him getting another big time job for now. Seems he has done well at smaller schools, Pittsburg State, New Mexico, TCU, before moving up to the big time. I think the only way he gets another "good" job is to turn a smaller program like Duke around.

I agree, someone has to coach them but boy that would be a tough call.
