right now in the national title game it will be mizzou vs west virginia. not sure about the others..

ohio st. havin a chance to be in bcs title game w. a mizzou loss shows how even ncaa football is these days after losin ginn, pittmann, smith, gonzalez, etc. i expected couple losses and down yr. for bucks....there are alot of teams one can make a case for on why they should be in title game but when games are played close and no clear cut undefeated and after fightin all yr its unfortunate there isnt a playoff to decide winner on the field instead of teams movin in or out bcs each week...

I really don't see why WV is highing in the pecking order than Ohio State. Note, I don't necessarily think Ohio State should be higher, but WV doesn't impress me. Their non-conference schedule was just as soft as Ohio State's. Their conference is not strong either. Just fact that UConn could have won their BCS bid today shows that. WV's best win right now is at Rugters, 31-3, not exactly something to hang your hat on.

I don't get into that conference vs. conference BS. It's so easy to twist info to fit your goal. I.e. someone could say that Arkansas beating LSU shows the SEC is weak b/c the SEC top team got beat by an unranked team. But than someone could say the SEC is so tough that an also-ran beat LSU. Then someone could bring up Lou-Monroe over Ala, etc, etc. It's all BS anyway. Everything is all relative. Tennessee got housed by Cal but will play in the SEC title game. I don't read that as something against the SEC, just that on that day Cal was better than Tenn.

At this juncture, I don't know if I'd say that Ohio State "deserves" to play in the title, but I don't think WV does either. Who really has done that as this point? No one. If Missouri beats Oklahoma, thatn I think they "deserve" to be in. If WV beats Pitt, I don't really see what they have done to be better than Ohio State.

Only way they go to Rose is if Ohio State isn't there, otherwise it's Pac 10 vs Big 10.

valid point, but i think when ppl watch West va they see explosiveness on off...not a team thats plays 3yrds and a cloud of dust.....im a big ten person to heart, but we cant compete with the west coast or south recruits.....if your a kid growing up in Fl or cali, where would u want to play??? cold weather or the sun...Now the midwest has graet high school football but when you see them go to warm weather schools, then were in trouble

Ohio State doesn't play three yards and cloud of dust though. Beanie Weels gets his carries, but the passing part of the offense is no slouch. They grounded the air game b/c of the elements against Michigan, but the rest of the year they were very not conservative.

Don't worry, even though I'm a fan, I always think with my head and not my heart. I'm just a little confused as to the pollsters fascination with WV other than they started the season ranked higher. They are often careless with the football and are still pretty one dimensional, although White has improved his accuracy. WV defense leaves alot to be desired alot of the time. Can't say the same about Ohio State. I think WV pounds Pitt, so all I can do is root for the Sooners, haha.
