  • C-USA Revenge GOY

    It has been said:

Revenge is a dish best served cold( and it is plenty cold and wet in Houston today). Paybacks are HELL, and it is a cold day in Hell.

Revenge on a coach who spurned them. Wayne Graham, Steve Kragthorpe's #2 man at Tulsa, left TU to go to Rice, where he immediately reversed the Owls program, even doing the unthinkable: getting the Rice program into its first bowl game in 40+ years. Then a funny thing happened in the offseason. Bobby Petrino bolted the Louisville program , and Steve Kragthorpe was named to succeed him. Wayne Graham had just signed an extension with Rice, but the NEXT DAY, he skipped out and returned to Tulsa to replace Kragthorpe. The ink had not even dried on the extension signed by Graham. Love quickly turned to HATRED. The NEXT FREAKIN DAY! Needless to say, this didn't sit well with the Ricefolk. The two smallest D1 schools ( in enrollment), with a heavy emphasis on academics, meet in the cold and rain at Rice Stadium today.

If you want to play the over, you should wait, as the total is dropping like a lead balloon. I should warn you it is VERY wet and VERY cold in H-town today. I know there is no "D" in Rice or Tulsa, but this number is very high for weather conditions. Total is 78 now, down from 82.

                          Tulsa at Rice, 3:00 EST

This is gonna be a wild one folks!

Rice scores on opening possession, fumbling at 1 and recovering and advancing.

Tulsa fair-catches the KO, fumbles, but recovers. One play drive, scoring on a bomb. XP is blocked, Rice returns for 2 point play, with several laterals.

                            3 minutes in, it's 9-6 Rice.

                              I concede:

The C-USA RGOY is in trouble early. Without some Tulsa mistakes, this is going to be a long afternoon, over early.
