Both teams lost quality starters and contributors off last year's squads. Josh Mayo is a good player for Ill-Chi. Ill-Chi has already knocked off Bradley, a team from WSU's conference, the Missouri Valley. Slight lean to Ill-Chicago for me.

Thanks for your thoughts KB....dont know anything about either team so your opinion helps...I do know how sick the Missouri Valley conf is in college hoops so a win for them over one of those teams is impressive....gonna roll with you than unless I hear anything else...

The Missouri Valley is not a huge power conference or anything, but they usually send 4 or 5 schools to the NCAA tournament every year. Wichita State has been one of those teams normally the last few years. They lost their coach this past year, but bring in a good one to replace him. Pretty equal game, but think Ill-Chi may have a little more talent. I think I've talked myself into taking the Flames

Ill Chicago is a pretty decent squad this year and can score a few points. Wichita State in the past has made the NCAA tournament but is far from that type of team this year... Wichita State lost to Baylor(a good team this year) by 9, but then lost to MONMOUTH. There's just no excuse for that. They lost to Monmouth by again 9. You can say the same thing for Ill Chicago, they won two straight home games, then entered this tournament and have lost two straight one being to Winthrop, by the way the team is pretty good again this year, 3-0 just beating Georgia Tech. Then just lost to Charlotte by 1 the other night and Charlotte is a pretty decent squad as well. They have some firepower, I like Ill Chicago +2 today, thats just my opinion but also will be a play for me. gl dude
